I knew a boy. We met under my favorite tree, the one next to the lake. I like to go there when I need to be alone. When I need to escape from the things in my life. When I went to the tree that day, I wasn't alone.
He was there quietly looking at the lake. He noticed me staring at him. He is unlike any person I have ever met, that day he asked if I wanted to join him. He was clearly there for the same reason as me escaping the loud noise that was life, yet, he still invites me to sit with him, a complete stranger. I didn’t think I had the right, an arrogant spoiled boy like me.
I must’ve looked so immature silently walking away like that. The strangest thing happened the next day, when I came back he was there once again. This time instead of asking me if I wanted to join him he looked at me and smiled. It’s like he wanted me to be there but knowing if he asked I would be forced to decline. I was mesmerized by this boy who I didn’t even know the name of. He turned to face me, his light green shirt, pastel yellow eyes, dirty blonde hair, and all he said was “Do you know what time it is?”
