The radiant glow of the sunset shimmered among distant waves of the sea. A cool and gentle breeze tickled Aria’s face as she lifted her latte closer to her nose. She could smell the sweet yet spiciness of the cinnamon on the side of mug. Putting it closer to her lips, she blew a couple soft breaths before taking a sip. With a sigh of satisfaction, she leaned back on her chair as the smooth and rich liquid trickled down her throat.
She looked around at the café. It was quite an exquisite café though the fact that it was open. The coffee tables were all smooth and polished. Behind the stool bar shown a variety of coffee beans from all sorts of places. Every employee wore formal clothing with a vest, quite something that would be seen only in a dream.
Aria let her arm and head rest on the railing to the right of her. “I wish I could live this moment forever.” She said with a relaxed sigh.
As she closed her eyes, she could hear the gentle pushing of the waves on the beach. The other guests here talked with a surprisingly quiet manner which only added to the value of the café.
Opening her eyes, she looked back at the sunset who was almost had the blanket of the horizon covering it. It was as if time moved ever so slowly just so that she could relish this moment. Pulling the blanket in full. The sun could be seen no more and thus time resumed its normal schedule.
Getting up, Aria left her payment beside the mug and took a long stretch. “Oh well. I guess all things aren’t meant to last forever.”
She picked up her purse and headed back towards the hotel bidding adieu to the moment that came and gone.
