How do you know?

I wish I had responded with:
"Well, did you need to have sex with a woman to know that you don't like being with women?"
I am glad that he asked me that though; otherwise I would have never gave the reasoning behind my sexuality much thought.
Asexuality (as well as any other sexuality) is just as valid as homosexuality or heterosexuality. And no, you don't need to explain yourself for having that identity.

I mean it's a good question nonetheless. If you don't understand it or aren't apart of that sexuality, then I understand if some people have some questions about it. For example, I don't quite get homosexuality. You'd think it'd be easy to get seeing as how I'm bisexual, but it's quite the opposite. I find a lot of people beautiful, men and women, so I don't restrict myself to one gender because well, I like humans. This makes it a bit hard for me to understand homosexuality, and in some ways, heterosexuality too. Ah well.
Also it is weird to think about too. I've never had sex with either guys or gals, so how do I know I'm not gay or straight? Well, I know I do have the desire to ultimately have sex with someone someday, but I'm not a hound about it. I have dated guys and gals before, more gals than guys, but only by like, 2 or something. And I've loved them both. We've never interacted in THAT sort of way, but I have kissed them, and they've kissed me. It never felt wrong...I just like being loved by anyone, and having anybody to love.
