my grandparents asked me to design a menu card for our yearly Christmas diner.
(click 'see more' for my ranting and ideas behind it)
I drew them as those oldschool wooden Christmastree ornaments. they actually had those! but.. not in the tree. (they went for fancy, shiny, soft Christmas balls, but somewhere in a box I saw those wooden ones!)
some ideas behind the images:
my grandma used to always videotape every event and even add commentary, nowadays, it's mostly a digital photo camera haha. so I gave her a camera.
and they hold sudoku competitions! (they take one sudoku and copy it, then both try to solve it and see who solves it first. ..whenever I'm there.. I win! hehehehe)
so I drew a simplified sudoku.
I got the commentary that I copied and pasted some elements twice, grrr, cousins and such trying to be smart! (cheeky? idk the word)
I made this in one evening at the last moment, I don't think it's too bad that I reused patterns.
(also got the question "how can the snowman ask what we're having if he hasn't got a mouth?" -_-")
even more;
the menu's pretty vague, probably because my grandparents also didn't want ME knowing what we would be getting exactly! hahaha
