Thank god he survived that. How, I will never know. Seems like that other narrator and I are going to have to be coworkers for a bit though. ~Sigh~ May these kids not give us an early death!
"What are we going to do now Mochiko?"
"Its Michiko. Follow me." She started to leave the tent, and I followed closely after her.
"So Mochiko how old are you?"
"Michiko. I'm 252 years old." Before leaving the tent, she waved to here sister quickly. There was a small crowed gathered around the entrance of the tent, but Mochiko ignored them.
"Oh I'm 250 years old! Why are there all these people Mochiko?" Still following her closely behind, I admired her pretty black hair in the sun. She had ears that popped out of the top of her head, matching those of the other tribespeople. I believe those ears are called cat ears?
"Last time I'm telling you, it's Michiko! Ignore those people, the last thing we need is there to be a bigger scene because you can't be quiet." I nodded my head diligently and ignored them as she said to do.
We ended up walking around the village on her patrol. She had told me that it was one of her duties, apparently she had many. She seems to be a very important and respected person here. The village was pretty big for being what she said was a nomadic tribe. People still paid a lot of attention to us on the patrol, but Mochiko didn't seem that affected by it, she must get that type of reaction often.
"Hey Michiko! What are we doing later?"
"IT'S MOCHIKO!!! And I don't know, the Chief will let us know or something!" She glared at me a bit annoyed, but she hadn't noticed she messed up her own name, or maybe she did.
"Yay Mochiko!! Can I just call you Mochi? Your name is too hard... Why do we need to see what the Chief says?" I bounced happily behind her. We had reached the very outskirts of the village where there was few villagers. Soon we would have to turn around to continue our route.
She sighed heavily. "Just call me that. I give up! As for the Chief, I'm not sure what he is planning for you. Or why I have to be doing this anyways." The rest of the walk/patrol was spent with her telling me about the different tents that housed the merchants. This went on until we finally reached the area from where we had started.
