A few days later, Adam and I spent more time with the family. Clovis had apologized to him but not me. I guess he still doesn't accept me as his little sister yet.
8:56 p.m
I was sitting on my bed in deep thought. I clenched my fists and began muttering 'you were at fault' over and over again until my thought were interrupted by a knock on the door. I opened it to find that it was Lucas..... and Clovis. "Ye--?!" Clovis pushed past me and sat in chair. "Shut up and listen." He said. "You can be such a pain." Lucas muttered. He entered and stood beside him. "What is it?" I asked.
"Well," Lucas sighed. "There is going to be a huge banquet for this kid who is a bit older than you. Actually they are twins, a boy and a girl. They will be turning 19 tomorrow and we had already accepted the invite. The thing is that we're wondering if you would like to go as well. Adam said yes but I was told to ask you too." I nodded my head but then my eyes drifted to Clovis. "Then why is he here?" I asked as I pointed to my rude brother. "He was sent here as well for the same reason." I didn't understand. It didn't take 2 people to ask 1 question.
I simply nodded as if the information had processed in my head already. I thought about it for a moment. Should I go to the party? I'm still suffering from my large wound in my heart, but then again I have to help support the Scottingham name. I looked Lucas in the eyes. "I'll go." I said quietly. "Really?! Awesome! I'll inform mother and father!"
Lucas ran out the door, leaving Clovis with me. At first there was an awkward silence. Then he stood up and leaned in close to my face. "Don't you dare ruin our family's reputation, got it?" He sneered. I stared at the floor. "Yes." I replied. He slammed the door and I slid on the floor. It wasn't that he hadn't gotten used to me, Clovis just hated me.
