I caught a familiar scent as the tent flap opened so I opened an eye to see my younger sister, Tsukiko, walk into the tent. I jumped up from my resting positing as I grabbed what was in her arms which was fruits and placed them in the center of our tent. We both shared our black hair but unlike my golden eyes Tsukiko's were whitish like the glow from the moon that rests in the opposite side of the sky than the eternal setting sun.
"Thank you, Ko." She smiled at me while sitting down on a stack of pillows in the tent.
"Ki, how have you been today? Nothing wrong?" I sat next to her and cuddled next to my adorable baby sister.
"Not really, other than the usual of helping the adults and stuff. Though Aoi said I should stop getting in the way, which I didn't understand what he meant." She glanced up at me as I felt my anger rise.
"Oh? Well don't worry about what he said. Let big sister deal with him kay?" I stood up and petted the top of her head. Guess I better go find this Aoi, and teach him not to say things like that to my baby sister. "Stay here until the old man gets back okay?"
She nodded her head while walking towards the entrance but I heard footsteps and caught the scent of the old man. Jumping away I looked around and hid in the pot near the entrance as I threw the lid onto the pot.
"Oi, brat. You here?" I rolled my eyes as I knew he'd probably find me but it is worth a try. "Oh, Tsukiko. Have you seen your sister?"
"Um...no?" Her voice was questioning more than answering.
"Really? Then why is her spirit in this pot?" I felt the pot fall over as the lid fell off and I pulled out of it by the scruff of my neck. I glared at him as he didn't put me down and held me five feet in the air.
"Oi! Old man, put me down!"
"Oi brat, shut up. You brought a troublesome thing to our tribe, didn't you?" He brought me closer to his face as I glared right back at him.
"No I didn't, and what are you even talking about?"
"Ah! It's you!" I heard an excited voice as I glanced down beside the old man and saw the kid from before.
"CRAP IT'S YOU!"
"SO YOU DID BRING HIM HERE!"
"Errrrr, maybe?" I shrugged my shoulders at him as he tossed me away and I landed on my feet. He held his head as he then glanced at me.
"He is your problem, keep him out of trouble and don't- just don't let him say anything to the others until I figure out what to do with him. And if you can, try to keep out of the village and always stay with him."
"OI OLD MAN! I don't want to deal with him!"
"I'M NOT AN OLD MAN. And does it look like I care? You brought him here, he is your problem!" The old man walked out of the tent as I stood shocked at what my adoptive father and chief had just done. That stupid old man!
"So what's your name?" I glared back at the kid that was the source of my worry. I growled as I covered my face trying to compose myself. Sighing deeply I glanced up at the kid and crossed my arms.
"Michiko." He got extremely happy before he started to start mumbling things with a look of confusion.
"And yours?" He looked up at me startled before smiling again.
"I'm Ryuunosuke!" I glanced over to him and noticed that his hair had a white section that peeked from underneath the rest of his black hair. It looks way to much like that fish thing that the old man once told me about and drew a picture of it. I think it started with an O or something like that.
