It was a normal day for the well-known blacksmith Anastasia Sospiro. She was famous for her armor and weapons made out of Luna Fabric. It was a special fabric that bonded to a person and had extreme power. However, Anastasia did not sell these and usually only gave regular items. People came far and wide to get their items crafted especially by an expert such as she. She had recently started on a new sword called Ragnorak(up above). It was going to be specially made for her daughter Soleil and her sure to come powers. Anastasia was extremely proud of her daughter who was growing to be headstrong and fierce like her father. Thinking about her husband and Soleil's father made her frown. He had disappeared when Soleil was only 2. Her daughter had grown up fatherless and always questioning her worth.
Suddenly the door bell rang as someone entered the shop. The woman turned around to see a stranger covered by a cape who blocked the doorway.

At this time Soleil Sospiro was on her way home from school. She had just gotten into a fight with some annoying people who had tried to make fun of her for not having a father. Now that the fight was over Soleil noticed a tear slide down her face. She quickly wiped it away. Even though she told herself what they said didn't matter it still hurt. To distract herself she began to think of other things.
"That took up a lot of my energy! I wonder if Mum made something to eat" Soleil hummed to herself as she turned the bend to her home. She rubbed her stomach in anticipation
"My stomach is after you villain!"
Soleil loved her home and probably always would. It was the place where she had grown up. Peeking in her mother's shop to see her craft new swords and wonders. The young Soleil couldn't have been prouder of her mom and bragged about her any chance she got. Sometimes her mother would let her help her make something for a customer.
Suddenly Soleil noticed the door wide open to her mother smithy. She cautisly stepped towards the door. She knew somthing was wrong. Her mother's famous phrase was
"Don't leave the door open."
Inside her mothers was backed up against the wall by a mysterious figure hidden by a cloak. As Soleil approached the figure turned around. In the dim light, Soleil could see a sinister smile.
"Well, Well, Well. Look who it is. Actually Ms.Sospiro you haven't introduced me. To whom do I owe this pleasure?"
"What are you doing to, my mother. Let her go!." Soleil said, If you don't you will pay."
The stranger roared in laughter. Their head leaning far back as the awful laugh filled the farrier.
"Thats quite rude. I am just a customer. Too bad your dear mother won't service me."
"Soleil get away. Do not trust her!"
Soleil was startled she expected a man but now that her mother mentioned it the voice sounded like it was from a woman. She grit her teeth and prepared to fight. She raised her fist and pushed it in a swinging motion.
" I won't leave you mother. You are all I have. Let's just give her whatever she wants" She said trying to negotiate.
The stranger easily caught the fist and frowned in disappointment. She put slight pressure on Soleil's hand. The girl cried out and her hand was released.
"Poor little girl. You do not understand the world is a cruel place and it just doesn't want your mother here."
"What..." Soleil said confused
"Your mother must no longer exist in order so stop her making weapons out of Luna Fabric. She didn't want to cooperate at first. Perhaps she has changed her mind"
Her head down Anastasia said " I refuse. I would rather die then let the tyrants that rule this world steal money from everyone keeping the fabrics to themselves. They are dictators forcing other to listen to them by using their money and power"
"Very well. Very well Indeed. Goodbye Ana. Farewell." The voice reached into their pocket to take out a lighter
"No Mother. NO Give in. Please Give in" Soleil sobbed falling to her knees.
"We will do anything just please"
"It's not your decision little girl..."
Anastasia just smiled at her daughter. She reached undernath her table and pulled out freshly made sword. She tossed it to her daughter and said "Live a good life Soleil. Live A Good Life. Run away. Please"
Soleil reached for her mother only for the figure to step on her way.
"You might as well leave or join her."
Soleil ran out the smithy in terror to a hill nearby. From there she watched the smithy burn down. The beds and paintings and everything her mother had been slowly turned into char and dust. She could see the frames of what used to be the farrier fall down. The house Soleil had spent 16 years of her life in disappeared before her eyes as if it never existed. The flames danced into the air as animals nearby ran away. She watched as the stranger simply walked out and quickly disappeared.
After burning down the remains of the smithy smoldered. Solemnly, with tears down her face Soleil walked to the ruins. She remembered all the time she had spent with her mother. The times she had yelled at her mother and hadn't truly appreciated her. Soleil regretted it now as she lay crying. She held the sword her mother had given her. She poked through the ashes hoping to find something to remember her mother. Suddenly, something glistened within the ashes.
As she looked at it Soleil noticed it was the same amulet the stranger had. She clenched it in her fist and put it on. She wiped her face, put the sword on her back and put her head up high.
"I vow this day I will find my mothers killer and avenge her!"
She turned away towards the lowering sun and began her journey...
