One of the biggest pet peeves I've dealt with with my IRL friends is their "Concern" for my focus on "Internet friends instead of talking with real people". This bugs me. Honestly. I've been involved in online communities since 2005. I've been through webcomics, internet videos, writing groups, gamers, and more... I don't think there has ever been a time when I HAVEN'T thought of the people I talk to as real people. Some of my favourite people have been online. I've experienced just as many if not more emotions than I have from RL people, and I can't say I regret this crazy ride for a minute! ^_^
