I love the transition between the time when Shelly first started teaching and her later years. First she's nervous and barely has it together, then she becomes more comfortable and is able to act like a bro with her students. I found her scolding them for their language and then being scolded by them for her language right after really endearing. Such realism isn't off either, albeit perhaps not all that common. Loving this so far. Time to continue binge reading this!
