Haha everyone in his town is insane and trying to kill eachother. If you stop caring about this making sense it's actually pretty great. I have to wonder if this is sort of satirical on some level, with the 'story of ascendance' and 'power of the lower abdomen region' being used as painfully obvious allegory. It's hard to tell and that makes this so entertaining.
