466 For Your Safety

So we recently had a major ice storm and because of that there were a lot of accidents because the city didn’t prepare for it. Fortunately I was able to make it through without any accidents, but unfortunately I can’t say a lot of others were so lucky. But that isn’t what this strip is addressing.
A lot of these accidents were dead center of the road, some were on the side, but the one that inspired this strip was the accident right inside the parking lot of my work. I got out of my car, three car accident dead center of the parking lot entrance. I ran up to check if they were ok, offered to push their cars, and I swear their excuse was the same. “I want the police to see what it looks like.” Now I understand that reason to an extent, but we live in a age of cell phones.
I believe in helping people when I know I can, but these guys were just arrogant and the least bit concerned about the safety of the other drivers around them. I left and went to work. The cars were sitting their for four hours before the police showed up.
