Mike-Week Day 1: Michael's Surfboard

Mike prefers longboards since they support his weight and height better. Mike is not a professional surfer but he loves surfing as a hobby, unlike Jon, who is a semi-pro. He prefers catching slower-breaking waves and just enjoying the moment.
Mike decided to talk to Jon after he saw him surf soon after him and his family moved to Hawaii from Florida. He was taken aback by Jon's natural talent and was, and still is, very impressed with his skills. When he first approached Jon, Jon rejected him and wanted nothing to do with him. Mike was a little hurt by this but after seeing Jon attended the same high school he was going to he decided to become his friend. One thing lead to another and, after a trip to the E.R., Jon started to warm up to Mike.
