Welcome to Chapter 1 of The Jacket. This is the beginning of our story about Colton Emerson, a normal guy who's life is about to get a lot more complicated. In a world akin to 1984 meets Watchmen, the government rules all, and watches all. The silver-tongued President holds a spell over the masses, and Colton doesn't know what more to do with his life. At a mental crossroads, he discovers that in this world of his, Diamond City, there are items that grant superhuman abilities to everyday people. The catch? There's only one item in the world meant for each person. Good luck finding yours.
The Jacket was co-created by writer, Jason Biamonte, and by artist, Randy Haldeman (me). We plan to update both here and on our website, www.TheJacketComic.com, every Thursday at 1:00pm EST. You can see a few more snippets about us and The Jacket on our website. As we move through the story, more intricate information will be made available to you about the characters, story, and backstories of this world and the items exclusively on our website as well. Not to mention it's the only place where you can read our weekly blog post along with each page.
