Olivia Windward arrived a few minutes after Diego Garcia had left. She heard from her children that Bian's father had come to visit her.
However, as she entered, she only saw Bian, who was gazing out the window.
"Where is your father, Bian?”
Bian turned to face Olivia and said,
“He left a few minutes ago.”
“Why did he leave so soon!?”
Olivia was taken aback, especially since Diego Garcia had not visited his daughter after the first day of his visit.
When she looked at Bian one more time, Olivia's eyes widened when she saw Bian's face.
“Bian, your—
Dad was busy, Auntie.”
She was about to ask what happened but stopped. Bian said those words with a smile; yet, her smile prevented Olivia from asking anything further.
Olivia frowned in anger because she knew it was Diego Garcia's doing. She had never liked Diego Garcia's behavior towards his children.
This is the reason she rushed here; yet, she was late. When Bian first came to the hospital, Diego Garcia only came to show his face out of formality.
Olivia talked with Bian for a few more minutes before excusing herself and leaving the room.
As Olivia's footsteps faded in the hallway, the air in the room became dense.
Bian looked out the window to see her own reflection. Olivia didn't notice any difference in Bian.
More precisely, she couldn't see it. After leaving the room, she would forget about Bian's golden eyes.
Bian rose from her bed and made her way to the window. She looked at the sky and frowned. The sun was still in the sky.
Yet one small part of the sky slowly turned black, and a crack appeared. The crack wasn't that big, but it was enough for shadows to escape from it.
“Everything is happening earlier than we hoped.”
Bian's eyes fell on Diego Garcia, who had just come out of the hospital. His expression was clouded with frustration and confusion.
From the distance of her room, Bian could see his troubled state. As soon as he came in front of the crack, a few shadows started to approach him.
Diego Garcia stopped moving and paused in one place. Those shadows were a few inches from him, but they grew bigger and were about to consume him.
However, they suddenly pulled backward.
Bian was surprised and looked at the crack again. The crack started to close. In a few seconds, it vanished from the sky.
Diego Garcia started to move to the left of the hospital grounds without looking back. It seems he didn't realize what could happen to him.
Bian waited by the window until she saw Diego Garcia leave the hospital.
Afterward, Bian placed her hand on her reflection in the window. Her expression became sad.
"That child interfered again to save this child, didn't they?”
There is no one in the room. Yet, Bian is talking as if someone is present beside her.
Bian turned back and shifted her gaze to one side of the room. While the room's air had been heavy and dense from the start, that particular corner's air was chillingly cold.
That part of the atmosphere was so frigid that if anyone who went too close to that place would be consumed by an instant, bone-chilling coldness.
Yet, it's not affecting Bian at all.
Bian sighed and wanted to say something. However, before she could utter a sound, a sudden dizziness overcame her.
Bian turned away from the corner. Her unsteady steps led her towards the bed.
Even if she couldn't walk properly, her movements seemed to shift the very essence of the room.
The air around her gradually transformed, becoming lighter and warmer, as if the very energy of the room shifted to accommodate her presence.
Just as Bian reached out to grab the edge of the bed, her strength faded, and she collapsed on the floor.
Her vision turned crimson as blood flowed from her eyes in place of tears.
{This child is rejecting me.}
At that moment, the door opened, and a nurse entered the room. Her eyes widened in alarm at the scene before her. Without a delay, she rushed to Bian's side.

The world has been severely damaged, with nearly forty percent of the once-vibrant landscape lying in ruins.
The once blue sky is now covered in darkness. Humans are unable to distinguish between day and night. The concept of time has become a blur as the sun's rays never reach them.
Amidst the chaos and destruction, humans battle against monsters and demons that emerge from the shadows of this twisted reality.
These creatures were born to spread chaos and despair across the land, making the world unlike anything humans have known.
Against this backdrop of darkness and despair, humanity fights fiercely for survival.
In this situation, thousands of humans flood into one place, each one carrying a weapon. Their faces contorted with anger, resentment, hatred, and hostility.
There is an unsettling stillness in the air, but it is broken only by the sound of footsteps echoing against the stone walls of temple.
Before silence veiled the temple like a suffocating shroud, now, as the group closed in, their weapons clashed, highlighting the imminent threat of chaos.
They advanced towards the lone girl seated on the altar.
The girl on the altar remained eerily calm. Her golden eyes looked at the approaching humans with a cold and unyielding gaze.
A silence hung before the storm.
As the thousands of hostile humans advanced, the girl's eyebrows furrowed. She caught sight of some familiar faces amidst the sea of people.
A few humans strategically positioned themselves, sniping and launching arrows from a distance in a bid to support the front line of attackers.
Despite the arrows and bullets being shot toward the girl, she remained unaffected by them. Nothing seemed to reach her.
The girl's unwavering gaze remained fixed on the familiar faces.
The front line of humans closed in, launching a coordinated attack on the girl. With a swing of her hand, a wave of energy rippled outward, causing hundreds of humans to fall lifeless in an instant.
In this chaos and devastation, the only front liners who stood unscathed and untouched by the bloodshed were four girls and a boy.
"You shouldn't have come here."
The girl spoke after meeting their gaze. Her voice cut through the clamor of battle.
The girl found it difficult to interpret their expressions. In the sea of hostility, she couldn't get any hostilities from them, and it made her unsure of their true motives.
“Why shouldn't we? Because you could easily end our lives. Like these people, apostle of the demon god.”
As one of the girls spoke these words, the girl clenched her hand. However, she maintained her mask of stoicism and didn't reveal any emotions.
“If you want to die, then die.”
Before anyone could respond, another wave of humans launched attacks on the girl. But she didn't react.
The temple became a one-sided battleground, and the air grew dense with the blood of humans.
A symphony of violence played out as humans died in a brutal massacre. Bodies were piling up everywhere.
Yet, sometimes the girl silently shielded those familiar girls and the boy from arrows and bullets coming from a distance.
They remained in their places and hadn't moved at all until the humans were on the brink of defeat. It was then that the boy came forward.
Despite seeing this, the girl refrained from taking any action towards the boy. She instead focused on eliminating the relentless attackers.
Suddenly, a sense of impending danger crept over the girl as she detected a presence lurking behind her.
They didn't even hide their strong desire to kill her.
That's how much they hate me. It's not surprising. I did kill their father.
The girl chose to remain still; she allowed the boy to make his move. But she was taken aback by a surprising back hug.
“Sorry…..Sis. We…couldn't do…anything… to help you.”
The boy was speaking so slowly that it could be considered a whisper.
The girl was startled by this unexpected gesture. She immediately turned around, a mixture of shock and anger on her face.
“What do you think you are doing in the middle…?”
She was about to shout with rage but stopped when she saw blood trickling from the boy's lips as he smiled. Then her eyes were drawn to his stomach, which had been pierced by multiple swords.
“Z..Zain!!”
