Marius sits in his room, sprawled out on the bed. He sighs, utterly bored out of his mind. He rolls over, having nothing much to do. His bed frame is ornate, but the sheets and pillows on top of it are a mess. The room is beautiful, but unkempt. Though it still has an organized feeling to it, messy but clean.
Suddenly, he hears a knock at his door. Marius jumps up, startled. Then he runs to the door, and pulls it open. He’s greeted by a rather handsome face.
“Good afternoon, your highness. His majesty the King has assigned me to be your personal guard. My name is Lionel.” The man bows.
“Good afternoon, Sir Lionel. That’s…an interesting assignment. I’ll have to chat with my father about it later.” Marius responds.
This man…is rather intriguing. Marius thinks to himself. He studies Sir Lionel’s face, it’s covered in scars. His name is familiar. I’m sure I’ve heard knights talk about him before.
“…Your highness?”
Marius is jolted out of his thoughts.
“Ah! Sorry about that, Sir Lionel. I’m afraid I was just a little distracted by your face.” He grins slyly.
Sir Lionel immediately brings down his helmet, covering most of his face.
“Is this better, your highness?”
Ah- that’s not what I meant- Marius is a little taken aback from that.
