If a customer kindly asked me if there was a better choice elsewhere I’d explain them the difference in prices, that ours were good but simple, other places had more expensive but more tasty ones, “ma’am you could try that bakery in that corner, it’s very good” etc etc...
If you’re rude it’s not worth the time.
