I just want to disclaimer that Nate's thoughts are meant to reflect his personal relationship with himself. Personally I gained some weight after high school and was healthier for it.
Also let me know if the changes between color and no color are too distracting, I'm fidgeting around with it still.

It's really hard to transition into adulthood, especially because there's a prevalent narrative fed to kids and teens that adulthood is the "goal", where you'll be set, or on a clear trajectory, or accomplished in some way. That's almost impossible, though. Not only are people still growing and changing during adulthood, being older doesn't mean that anything in particular happens. Frankly, feeling settled and on a path is *harder* because you no longer have the structure of schooling or the nurturing and support available to minors. Not to mention the ridiculousness of "knowing what you want to do" when your brain is still developing and you are unlikely to have a grasp on your sense of self and you have very little knowledge of the world. I have a lot of bones to pick with how children are systemically let down for the transition to adulthood lol.
