"You know what to do right, Ruby," I said, and she took a small piece from the edge and ate it. It became a regular habit to do this. I stopped Ruby for now in poisoning our food, but I still am not so sure about the kitchen and that bear guy who always cries. I need to find that guy soon. It's been a week since I said I will go out, but I still couldn't because...
Just when I was getting ready to go out, a letter got delivered to my mother.
And it's from...
-----
Ruby is getting me ready, thinking about what hat should I wear to go out in this hot weather. That's when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in"
A man opened the door and walked inside along with my knights walked with him. He moved a small tray in front of me and there is a letter on it with a royal stamp.
The stamp with lion shape imprinted on it. A royal seal. That means it's especially from the king.
"Did mother see this?" I asked and he nodded his head No.
"Give it to mother," I said, and he left the door.
Why did the king send me a letter especially addressed to me? This suddenly? Without any prior notice? Did something happen?
"Anemone" My mother walked into my room.
"Why did you send me this letter without even opening it first?"
I stood up and walked to her.
"I don't know whose it is from, mother. What if it is from my father asking me to come back? I don't want to leave your mother. I was afraid, so I sent it to you" I shredded two fake tears and she melted. Furthermore, I love my mother, but this is the only way I can do things now.
"Ane!" She hugged me tightly.
"I am never sending you back to your father. You are MY daughter. You will always stay with me in this house so never think about all these things and also never cry in front of me" She spoke as she slowly rubbed my tears.
"And also this letter is not from your father. It is from the king"
"King? Why would king send me a letter, mother?"
"You should open it to see its contents"
"You stay here with me, mother" I held her shirt and she patted my head slowly, and I opened it in front of her.
"Even if I am addressing this letter to your daughter. I know you will read this, Lady Cicelia and that's why I want to share this with you both. I have heard from my subjects that Ebdouts house found a new heir and that lady is so lovely. I have yet to be introduced to the future heir of the Ebdout house and also the little child who managed to win your stubborn heart. I will be waiting for your arrival at the royal palace along with your daughter."
I glanced at mother, and she has an expression on her face which is pure disgust. I don't know what happened between her and the king for her to make an expression like that.
"I will go talk to the king. You stay here darling" She said quickly changing her expression to a smile while she looked at me. She kissed my forehead and left the room.
I finally got ready and just when I was about to leave...
"No mam"
"What do you mean No?"
"Lady Cicelia ordered us not to let you go outside today"
"Mother said that?"
"She also told you to understand it and stay at home for today"
"She didn't tell any reason?"
"I am afraid it's a No Lady Anemone"
"Alright"
Mother won't do things on instincts. She always does things with a clear view and understanding. If she doesn't want me to go outside. There must be a reason for it. And it must be related to the King. This keeps on increasing for the investigation, and I can't even go out to pick up that child. What if he starts the information guild before I could meet him? The chances of me getting close to him at this age will reduce. The scenarios of my previous life are changing. So I can't be 100% sure that he will start the guild at 14. He might start early, which I might not know. I can't ask the butler to investigate him, either. I want the meeting should be like a coincidence, that's when he will trust me.
I guess staying at home today, then. At least I should go for a walk in the garden.
"Ruby, let's go to the garden," I said and started walking out, and she followed me. The guards also came back to us but still maintained a distance.
I have many people whom I won't trust in this house. The workers. The knights. Ruby. The kitchen staff, and sometimes I don't trust myself too. As the days increase, the information I want to know also increases one by one.
When can I find that child and when he will form a guild and when he will see the information for me as a friend?
*sigh*
I sighed as I sat down in the garden on a small bench giving a breathtaking view. Flowers, trees, cool breeze. This is nice.
"Is something bothering you, Madam?" Ruby asked hesitantly.
"I wish I could drink something delicious," I said that and ruby went inside again informing me she will bring out something cool for me to drink.
This garden is truly amazing. The twins, even though they look like bodybuilders. They do work elegantly. Anyone can tell by the way it is maintained.
A small wind blew inside the garden and it felt so cool. This feels nice. It's nice to be alive again. I wish I could enjoy tea with my mother here.
