"Alex," I called my brother who was dancing with Stace.
"Hey sister!" he was drunk "I was looking for you but I couldn't find you and then I went to look for you but… no, wait first I looked for you and then I wanted to find you and then…. How was she?" He finished saying and laughed.
"It's funny to see him like this," Stace laughs. "I can get a lot of information out of him," she says with a mischievous look on her face.
"Take care of him please" She looks at me confused and nods, Alex would no longer be an option, suddenly an idea crossed my mind.
"Dad," I called when I reached him.
"Oh Layla, I was looking for you," he commented, "I wanted to apologize for your mother, she didn't ..."
"Forget it. The keys to the attic, will you tell me where they are?" He looked at me a little confused.
"In the reception I left them there in case you wanted to go see him one day."
"May I have your car keys? You can go into Alex's, he's drunk, Stace will take him," he agreed.
"What's wrong daughter?" He asked a little concerned. "Are you okay?"
"Perfect, I'm just tired. Don't tell anyone where I'll be," he agrees.
I look for Dad's Range Rover and see it next to a nice red Ferrari. When I walk in, I take a deep breath and walk toward the apartment.
I really can't believe I kissed Gian. I liked it, I can't deny it and after so much, I think even I needed it. But what about that girl? Yes, I heard how he pushed her away from her, but he didn't when she kissed him, it made me feel uncomfortable and I couldn't deny it.
"Aghh, I hate this."
After a few minutes, he parked in the large parking lot, walked over to the reception desk, and saw a rather old man.
"Good evening," I try to smile at him kindly.
"Good evening, miss." He smiles back. "How can I help you?"
"I'm Layla Williams, Stephan Williams' daughter.Could you give me the keys to the attic?" I tell him. "Oh miss of course, her father called a few minutes ago to confirm" He hands me a key ring with four keys "There is the apartment, two spare keys and the private closet. As I have been informed your mother has sent some clothes," I nod. "My name is Robert and I will be at your disposal."
Without further ado, I take the elevator. Once in the elevator I take off my heels because my feet are killing me, carrying a double weight of watermelon and mine is not pretty.
When the elevator doors open, I walk down a short hallway to my door. When I opened it, I looked around me in some surprise. Dad had been a bit over the top with the luxury and I thought the eccentricities were Mom. I left my shoes on the corner of the elevator.
I put my shoes in a corner of the great room and walk to the sofa by the large ceiling window. I did not turn on the lights because the exterior lighting left something to see. He needed to think. And a lot, I didn't want to feel the same way again to hurt myself again and he needed to know everything about my baby.
I pulled all the pins out of my head and walked into the kitchen, when I opened the fridge it was full of food, grabbed a chocolate pudding and walked back to where I was before.
While enjoying my pudding, I could see the first drops of rain slide down the window.
