THis was quite possibly the best chapter of this story yet! I loved how you used Haurchefant talking to Valery’s mom as a framing device to both keep physical continuity with the last part of the story while also seamlessly skipping foreword in the timeline it was really well done. And I love how you used the updated cape westwind as both a cool set piece and as a vehicle to get the main characters discussing there views on killing people it was so good.
I also never really thought about the possibility of needing to kill Lahabrea possesses Thancred and that’s a really interesting way to add drama and tension to the story.
All this to say I really love your story and I’m exceedingly excited every time you update it
