Back with a certain blonde, Michelle sat quietly and looked at Adam, who was now watching the movie. 'Well, this is not how I saw tonight going…' Michelle thought wryly as she went back to watching the movie.
The next day, Adam and Aaron got ready to leave, the others minded their own business. "Remember Dean," Aaron stressed. "Please, I don't want to get back to find the house in flames…literally" Dean's thumbs-up made Aaron more worried, especially with Jasmine behind him, she held a ball of fire on her palm, she grinned before dissipating the ball of fire and giving Aaron an impatient look.
She made shooing motions with her hand, provoking Aaron to stick out his tongue at her. "I will be back," He said promisingly as he got into the car. He started the car, his eyes traveled to the house. He saw Michelle and wavered.
Adam decided this would be the perfect time to smack Aaron upside the head hopefully it was enough to get him out of it. He gave Adam a withering look before shaking his head and driving off.
"It's for your good," Adam repeated. "I'm saving your life…no one here can save you if one High-tier Dragon decides that they want your life,"
"Can't you do anything to the marriage?" Aaron asked hopefully. Adam shook his head. "If any of us could end this marriage, we would. Michelle is our friend, but right now, no one can help her. Weren't you listening when I told you how this works? I am a Class-5 creature. Going against even one mid or high-Class Dragon would probably kill me, they all range from Low-tier Class-5 and Low-tier Class-4 or stronger so what do you think a few dozen can do?" Adam and Aaron sighed identically.
"Dragons have a hierarchy like everything else in the world," Adam said as Aaron turned right and drove into town. "Most Dragons are Class-7 to Class-6, but they have the few hundred thousand that are Class-4, and then the top ten which are known as Taynium Dragons. From number two to ten are Class-3 creatures that could go toe to toe with some of Hell's most powerful Devils and Arch Demons"
At Aaron's confused look, he explained, "An Arch Demon is the peak of a Demon's power, and the Taynium Dragons can match and overwhelm them, and then there is the most powerful Dragon…Draca La Cura," Adam's expression darkened considerably, "He makes the rest of the ten look…weak and insignificant, he is rumored to be as strong as Michael, Low-tier Class-2."
"He can't be that powerful," Aaron said, finding it hard to believe.
Adam looked out the window as he thought back. "Yeah…I saw him fight once…I can't really remember what happened that day. It was about seven hundred years ago, give or take. One of the most powerful Devils in Hell was leading the charge against the Dragons.
Lucifer did something to piss off the Dragons." Aaron listened intently.
"He tried to take over Ailiand. Needless to say, the Dragons didn't take that lightly. Lucifer himself destroyed nearly forty percent of the Dragon population and killed quite a few of the Taynium Dragons, dealing the Dragons a heavy blow, even the Queen was all but defeated. We thought that we would win, so my father offered to continue the charge. Lucifer didn't care and let him take over thinking that the Dragons would not be able to strike back, but before they knew what was happening…"
"THAT Dragon showed up. It's something I will never forget…He fought against my father. At that time, my father was rank six in hell, one of the strongest Devils…yet, the fight was so…one-sided. Draca killed my father ruthlessly and tossed him back to Lucifer's feet. Lucifer…attacked and the fight started. Their battle shook the Heavens and caused tsunamis and storms on Earth. It was a violent battle…but," Adam stopped to gather his thoughts and swallow the lump in his throat.
"In the end, Lucifer lost and was pushed back. No other Devil dared attack Draca La Cura. He didn't look the least bit winded as opposed to Lucifer. I lost my father that day and we lost every soldier on the field. He was about to finish off Lucifer, but Michael interfered and stopped the fight. He couldn't let Draca kill Lucifer since it would have upset the balance. Draca didn't want to let Lucifer go, but Michael told him something that forced him to, I don't know what it was, but I was saved because of it." Adam sighed heavily.
"I was left to live so that I could take Lucifer back to Hell and show the creatures there what would happen if we ever tried to attack again. I was beaten until I could barely stand." Adam finished. He never once looked at Aaron, opting to watch the passing buildings instead.
Aaron gave Adam an apologetic look. He didn't mean to make Adam remember something painful. "Wow…this Draca guy sounds dangerous, I wonder what Michael said that made him stand down."
"Lucifer was only fighting with sixty percent of his full strength at the time, or at least that is what he said, he hasn't ordered an attack again, which means he isn't sure whether he can defeat Draca at full strength…and I'm sure he doesn't want to find out," Adam said. "And, frankly, I don't want to know either."
Aaron sighed. "What does that have to do with me?"
"The man Michelle is supposed to wed is Yura La Cura, Draca's son," Adam informed. The look on Aaron's face told Adam everything. At that moment he felt the true edges of despair start to dig into his heart and claw at his soul. "Trying to stop that marriage is 100% impossible, even if you had Lucifer on your side, it would only tip the scale slightly. Yura is rumored to be just about half as powerful as his father is. I am not sure but it is still a lot of power…you would need to be an Archangel with enough power to take on Yura. He will fight for her hand." Adam finally glanced at Aaron.
"Can't an Archangel help me?" Aaron asked in a last-ditch effort. "Archangels are neutral creatures that could probably defeat Draca, but they only look out for themselves and balance."
"There are the Valmira…but them helping is even crazier, they are all about not breaking rules and keeping order," Adam said with a shudder.
Aaron looked just as depressed as he felt.
"Cheer up…there are plenty of other girls around…just make sure they aren't betrothed to a super-powerful Dragon," Adam said jokingly trying to lighten the mood.
"There must be something that I can do" Aaron tried. Adam kept quiet as he closed his eyes in thought.
"I got it! Sprout Heavenly wings or gain at least Class-3 power, and then challenge Yura for her hand!" Said Adam, Aaron was not amused.
Adam chuckled. “Obviously not…even if you had real angel wings, you wouldn’t be allowed to do that, you would need wings that are gold like an Archangel’s to prove status as a high ranking member in heaven, really, wherever you are from you will need proof that you are of high ranking.” He finished as they reached the martial arts dojo.
He parked the car and got out, “We will meet later.” Adam stared into Aaron’s eyes. “But, seriously…I would advise forgetting about your feelings for her. They will be the death of you otherwise.” With that said, Adam vanished. A sigh escaped as he entered a state of utter depression just as he entered the dojo.
With Michelle…
Michelle sat on a cliff in a pensive position with a sad light in her eyes, she rubbed her forehead in an attempt to stop the pressure behind her eyes from exploding, it amplified and the first tear fell down her cheek.
