Bruce took half a step back before he growled.
"I will kill you myself if I have to!" Bruce's right eye twitched with rage.
"You? Kill me?" Adam shook his head not amused in the slightest. "Don't make me laugh" Bruce growled, sounding like a feral beast before he charged at Adam.
Adam gave Bruce an indifferent expression, he disappeared and reappeared in front of the charging Bruce. He stopped him with one hand, pulled on his horn, and pushed his face into the ground making a five-meter hole in the ground.
"Don't forget my 'friend'…I am a Devil, and you are a Demon, know your place on the totem pole! I might not be the strongest type of Devil but I'm enough to kill you!" Adam taunted as he lifted Bruce's hulking form easily with one arm throwing him into the air. "Demonic Magic Art; Hellfire Breath," Said Adam as he inhaled a large breath. He exhaled as a large blue flame headed towards Bruce.
Bruce dodged in mid-air and charged towards Adam again only to see Adam was gone, he felt something grab his tail. He looked back to see Adam holding his tail with a smirk.
"When did you?" Started Bruce but didn't finish as anger took over, Bruce roared and swung his hand back to hit Adam, only for the attack to be stopped by Adam's forearm, Adam pulled Bruce by the tail to the ground before smacking him in the tar, creating cobweb cracks in the road.
"Honestly, Bruce, I don't see you winning this." Adam yanked hard on Bruce's tail, provoking him.
Bruce howled in pain as he lay on the floor, he was in too much pain to get up. "I would say this was fun," Adam said as he extended his left hand "Demonic Magic Art; Hellfire Incinerate," Said Adam and a ball of blue fire appeared. "But it wasn't." He had a cold expression on his face while unleashing the attack, incinerating Bruce and making him nothing but a bad memory.
Back with Aaron and friends…
Aaron watched from the sidelines along with everyone else. "What the…" Aaron did not understand what was happening, and quite frankly, he didn't know if he wanted to.
Adam was suddenly in front of him, Aaron got the fright of his life as he fell back in shock on the road, he crawled backward. The strong feeling of despair and hopelessness was heavy in the air, Aaron felt dark thoughts swirling in his head just by standing near this…thing.
Adam's horns retracted and his tail vanished. His clothes reappeared while the sickening aura along with the demonic eyes, tail, and sharp claws disappeared. "Hey, Aaron…you alright?" Asked Adam in concern as he lowered down to his knee.
"What are you?" Aaron crawled away from Adam, he realized his friends went and stood next to Adam. "How are you all so calm with this!?" Asked Aaron as a thought dawned on him. "Unless you all knew this!?" Accused Aaron, a look passed over their faces, they knew alright.
'Are we really friends? None of the others seem surprised… they knew about this, and yet…!' Thought Aaron.
"Adam is a Devil," Jasmine answered and looked Aaron in the eyes.
"Adam is the DEVIL!?" Yelled Aaron his eyes nearly popping out of their sockets.
"No no…Adam is A Devil not thee Devil" Corrected Jasmine trying to explain and ease the situation, she wasn't helping. Michelle glared at her.
"And Bruce is…" Started Michelle before correcting herself. "Was a Demon…Demons feed on human flesh. Bruce wanted to eat you" Michelle said softly, you could tell she was concerned about this situation, but she didn't believe in beating around the bush, that much was clear.
"Well, that was subtle…" Commented Dean as Michelle glared at him, he coughed before looking in another direction.
"What? I don't understand…what the hell is going on?!" Aaron looked between his friends, not friends, again, all of it was bouncing off his head.
"Listen, Aaron…there is something you need to know," Adam could practically smell the fear rolling off of Aaron in waves. "Trust me, pal…I am not going to hurt you" Aaron didn't really believe it, yet he nodded anyway.
"The world is very different from what you believe is true," Michelle continued once he nodded.
"Supernatural creatures such as Demons exist….along with Angels and Vampires…and a lot of other things exist as well…" Said Jasmine, she was trying to explain without hurting his head.
Aaron looked at her like she was insane. And for all he knew, they all were. "I can't trust you and I don't believe you…" Aaron's voice trembled as he spoke and he cleared his throat, Michelle crouched close to him before placing her hand on his hand trying to calm him.
"We understand that Aaron…but because you saw 'that' we can no longer keep the truth away from you, and honestly we never wanted you to even find out," Michelle said with a sigh, Adam nodded he was worried based on his facial expression.
"We are all supernatural, well, except for you…"
Aaron felt his heart drop, you mean they are all demonic creatures that look like the devil?
"You don't look supernatural" Aaron said as his eyes narrowed in clear suspicion and disbelief, even if he did just see Adam revert right before his eyes, his mind refused to accept it, at least not until he could understand what the heck was going on.
"Have you never heard of transformation? It's how we hide our true form," Dean answered.
Aaron looked to Dean. "Transform?" Adam nodded and sighed. He was not looking forward to this.
"But let's have this conversation at your house…you never know who might be listening," Adam said while crossing his arms. Aaron nodded as he slowly stood up, he was still shaken by the fact that he was nearly turned into a Demon food.
"Okay…let's go. We're nearly at my house anyways…" Aaron forced out as he swallowed.
When they arrived at Aaron's house, it was empty. "I guess my parents left already…they should be back any moment" Aaron dropped down onto the sofa.
Adam sat down next to Aaron. "You know…you're taking this a lot better than anyone else has"
"You told someone else before?" Aaron asked as he glanced at Adam.
"No…it's just kind of surprising that you are quite calm, another human might have started screaming out 'Monsters' or something… even though it's kind of true," Michelle said, you could see this was bothering her. Aaron ushered for them to start explaining.
"Listen the world you lived in is a fake. There are supernatural creatures all around you, just well hidden. Take me for instance, I am a Demon Fox," Jasmine said as her ears grew longer and her irises changed to bright purple and her body shifted before she was down on all fours and now looked like a fox but she quite large, she was as tall as Aaron who was standing upright "This is me as a Demon Fox," She didn't stay transformed, but she turned back to normal.
Aaron looked at her in wonder. "Compared to Adam…you look pretty," Aaron found the comment spilling out of his mouth before he could stop it, she looked like a majestic creature.
"Well, Aaron, to be fair…I was fully transformed and had my angry face on!" Adam defended with a lopsided grin. "Plus Demon Foxes have very powerful auras that can change how you feel when you see them, it makes it easier for them too-"Said Adam but was cut off by Brianne covering his mouth.
"You don't want to finish that sentence and scare him even more," Said Brianne as Adam nodded.
"Well, you did look kind of cool…from a gamer's point of view at least!" Aaron allowed. "What about you guys?" Aaron asked as he looked at the others.
Dean looked to him and said. "I am a three-headed Hellhound; I am basically a Werelion that guards the gates of Hell, we take turns," Dean said with a shrug, Aaron gave him a look of disbelief, where were his other two supposed heads?
Dean knew and raised his hand stopping him. "Trust me, once you see it you cannot un-see it, unlike Jasmine's transformation my one won't look or sound anywhere near as pretty," Said Dean as Adam nodded.
"Oh yeah, it is something to behold…" Said Adam, his face a bit pale, in fact, everyone seemed to be thinking about it with disgusted expressions.
Aaron felt it was probably safer for him to skip that detail, a thought occurred to him. "Wait…you mean Heaven and Hell exists?" Aaron asked with raised brows.
"Yes, they do…and so does Olympus and Asgard as well as many other places, even other dimensions you never heard of," Michelle said, trying to explain it without overloading Aaron.
"So does God exist?" Aaron asked. He didn't know why…but he was curious about that.
"No one knows…" Adam answered truthfully. "If he did exist then it would be in the highest reaches of Heaven locked away from everything else,"
"I am sure that most of the Angels in Heaven haven't even seen him," Jasmine said. "The Archangels seem to be running everything" Aaron listened carefully.
"So, whether God exists or not is a mystery to everyone?" Asked Aaron bummed out.
"Pretty much" Adam answered.
"That's convenient," said Aaron with a blank stare.
"I hope this isn't going to change anything…knowing that we are all supernatural creatures and all" A joke made by Adam was usual, but in this case… Aaron was quiet. Truth be told, he found all of it more interesting than scary… but being friends with creatures that could potentially kill him didn't calm his mind. He finally realized what Adam just said.
"Not change? Not change!? How can things not change are you out of your mind?" Asked Aaron as he looked to Adam, how could he say something like that in this situation, everything changed the moment he saw Adam in his Devil mode, Aaron realized he was working himself up, he inhaled and exhaled.
"Listen, guys, I just found about all this. As cool as it all seems…I don't want to get into an argument with one of you one day, and then, have my heart ripped out…it just doesn't seem all that appealing to me" Aaron stated awkwardly, he did make a really good point, arguments do happen, he didn't want a petty argument to spill his guts on the floor.
"Aaron…if one of us wanted to kill you, it would have happened a while ago" Jason informed him matter-of-factly. "Besides, we just saved your life and we have all gotten into some stupid argument with you before and here you are today," Said Jasmine with a smirk, Aaron looked at the ground in thought.
He nodded, partially convinced. She had a point. "Well…you guys did save me from…being eaten,"
"To be honest…you will have to watch your back…there will be creatures that will want to eat you!" Jasmine exclaimed cheerfully. Aaron gave her a blank expression which showed he was not in the mood.
"You have no idea how many times we had to kill other creatures that wanted to eat you" Dean provided.
"Well that's reassuring," Aaron said sarcastically.
"Guys we just started to calm him down and you want to tell him he will now have to watch his back? Think before you speak!" Said Michelle, a wave of annoyance passing her face, Jasmine and Dean covered their mouths as they realized what they did.
A car pulled up in front of the driveway. "I guess my parents are back," Aaron said with a sigh. "Let's continue this tomorrow.
You guys will be using the door…right?"
They all nodded, they didn't want to freak him out even more by just vanishing and making him even more paranoid.
"We will go through the front door," Michelle said as she pulled her hair to the side. Aaron nodded and stood up. Michelle and everyone else copied his movements a second later.
"Today has been very…informative," Aaron opened the door and his parents walked in.
"I see you invited your friends over, was it fun?" Asked his mom, Aaron nodded.
"Oh, it was…more than you could ever imagine" Commented Aaron.
They all greeted his parents before walking away. "See you tomorrow, Aaron" Jasmine waved as she walked away.
"They could have stayed for dinner," His father said. Aaron huffed and marched to his room. "No they had to leave, I am tired as well, see you guys, I already ate," Said Aaron, he lied about eating to get some peace, he had a lot of information to digest. His mother and father glanced at each other with a confused expression before shrugging. "Teenagers…" He heard his mother as he walked away, he knew what she was trying to do. "Nice try mom!" Yelled Aaron as he entered his room he heard her yell back.
"It was worth a try wasn't it!?" Yelled his mom, she wanted to try and scratch his tongue for information, Aaron finally chuckled as he laid on his bed tiredly. 'Today was something else…' Aaron thought as he closed his eyes and slowly drifted to sleep.
