Barbara "Babs" Louis, a recent graduate of the Sortilege Academy, decides to follow her dream of becoming a part of the Bounty Hunting Guild, much the the surprise of her peers and mentors. But as Babs comes to terms with her new environment, she starts to look farther than their childish antics. Just what led them to this Guild, if not the Academy?
