I saw Avery in the same romper I was in. She also had white sandals like mine, the only difference was that her’s had a butterfly and mine had a flower.
“Wow, that's tough.” said Alex while taking a sip of his drink
“Why does she look better in it than you, Jay?” giggled Josh
Missy slapped him on the arm, and Alex slapped him on the head at the same time.
“OUCH!!” Josh cried out
“I was just kidding.”
“It’s ok, maybe no one will notice.” Missy said to me while rubbing my back.
Yea, no one notice that the girl that absolutely hates me is wearing the same thing I am.
I shook it off and ignored it. We had a great time. We danced, played beach volleyball, and other games. We even buried Josh in the sand and gave him a mermaid tail. I was exhausted when I got home. Mom and dad weren’t home, they went out with Alex’s parents.
I got little sleep because I got home late. I got up and went downstairs to make breakfast for my parents before they headed to work.
“Good morning mom, good morning dad.” I said to my parents as they walked into the kitchen.
Good morning, sweetie.” Mom replied.
Dad just gave me a kiss on the head. I could tell that he was too tired to talk.
“Someone had fun last night.” I giggled.
“Yeah, he sure did.” mom chuckled
“How was the party last night?”
“Good.” I answered
“That's good to hear.” Dad said, pouring his coffee.
We finished our breakfast, and my parents headed off to work. I had a few more hours until I had to head to the beach, so I went to the coffee shop that Josh and Alex worked at.
“Hey Jay.” one worker greeted me.
“Hi Charlie”. I said back.
I walked to the counter to where Alex and Josh were. I sat down and Alex started to make my drink.
“How is your morning going?” he asked me
“So far it’s good.” I replied.
“Just need some coffee to give me a little energy.”
Yeah, we got home pretty late last night.” Alex said to me while handing me my drink.
I started to drink my coffee when my mom texted me. She told me that my dad had forgotten his wallet at the house again and needed me to take it to him. I left the money for my coffee on the counter and left. As I got into my car, I saw Avery and some guy walking past. I’ve never seen this guy before, and he looks a little older than Avery. I was kinda curious about who this guy was, and why was with Avery. Something didn’t feel right. Something was off about this guy, but it was none of my business. So I started my car and went home to get my dad’s wallet.
