"I...I...I did it!"
"Good job! You are getting the hang of it"
"Yeah!"
After that, we repeat what we did earlier with other paragraphs and I could see him really trying his best. Before we knew it, his hardwork paid off and you could notice the difference compared to earlier. Now I can feel at ease now, knowing he managed to become better at reading.
"It felt really good! I'm still struggling a little but compared when I read the very first paragraph, I can say that I improved even just for a tiny bit"
"That's not true, you improved a lot, I could tell. Nice job, Jose and with that today's tutor is over. Class Dismissed!"
"..."
"What's the matter, Jose?"
"I'm just really glad that you became my tutor."
Jose rushed to me and gave me a tight hug. It really made me happy. The reason he's trying his hardest to learn is because he wants to make his grandfather happy. When his previous tutors said that he's unteachable, he saw his grandfather very sad and Jose felt hurt. He didn't want to see him like that ever again and so he's working super hard to learn and pass the upcoming exams. By doing this, he can make his grandfather smile. I'm really proud of him, what a nice boy.
"With this I can make grandfather happy, thank you Nathan.
