“DEREK GABRIEL SHAW!!” The shrill shout makes its way through the woods making my heart drop as I duck behind Newton.
“What did you do?”, “Fuck if I know.” I grumble back watching as my mother rounds the corner behind some trees her own spaded tail low and dangerous as stops in front of us.
“Yes?” I question her and she runs her hands over her face.
“Derek my child, my sweet baby, I’m going to tear your little head off I swear!” Within her hands sit a familiar dark pouch, gulping I lift a finger.
“To my credit I hadn’t had to use it in a month are so.” The pouch all but disappearing within her grasp arms moving to fold over her chest.
“Newton, sweetie could you please move I must kick some more sense into my only son.” The soft threatening tone against her voice makes Newton shutter nervousness against his form.
“B-but miss Shaw-“, “Angelia dear.” She cuts him off with the quick correction. “Angelia I- promise you he hasn’t used it please don’t be mad with him.” Newton quickly spoke trying his hardest to keep a courageous face.
“Darling I’m not mad, frustrated but not mad.” She spoke calmly as I lean to whisper into Newton’s ear.
“I can say she isn’t lying.” I shrug stepping out from behind Newton as her tail wraps around my wrist pulling me along as she turns away. Leading me down towards the house. “Mother please I am feeling a bit better than I would have ever been when I first left.”
“Do you need me to refill it?” She finally says the eerie silence that led to her words making me far worse than I would feel with anyone else.
“No mother. I’ll be okay.”, “Newton?” She questions and I lift my hand to titter it a bit in front of me. She grins her tail dropping from my wrist as she looks back. “Well, I’m happy you two finally where able to move passed what happened.”
“I’m just glad he doesn’t hate me anymore.”, “Never hated you, was mad at you yeah but I never hated you.” Newton’s words made me jump as I turn and look to see he had been following us.
“Fucking hell don’t do that you going to give me a heart attack.” I shout hitting his chest as he steps over to us.
“Sorry for kind of following but we are kind of heading in the same direction.” My mother chuckles as Newton shrugs his shoulders. Turning my head to look at her my fingers snatch Newton’s glasses off his nose. “HEY?!” He shouts as I jump back and away from his hands.
“That’s what you get for jump scaring me Nerd!” I shout as his hands reach out to grab me. “We will meet you at the house!” I shout towards my mother as I rush to get away from the stumbling Newton. The laughter that follows becomes nothing but silence as she disappears towards the house.
“GET BACK HERE!” Newton shouts rushing after me, laughter pulling form my lips as I duck out of the way.
“Oh, come on now puppy~” I joke about a smile against my face as his fingers finally grasp the front of my shirt. Pulling me forward as I kick my foot up knocking us onto the dirt floor. His glasses falling from my hands as he pins my arms above my head.
“Are you done?” Newton questions a slight joking tone to his words as my tail whips around my side gripping his leg.
“I don’t know a little air sounds nice right about now.”
A look of surprise hits his features as I wrap my legs around his waist and tilt him to one side, Newton’s back hits the dirt as his fingers release my wrist. Now straddling the flustered werewolf, he lays their wide eyed. Something dancing against those sharp orbs.
“Now, where were we?~” I hum as he looks up at me confused but that confusion is quick to fall away as lips met his. A soft growl against his throat making me smirk into him. “A late afternoon snack seems in order.” I breath against his lips as he chuckles nervously.
“Uh, um, do you mean?” Newton croaks the warmth against his cheeks heating my face as he tried to find his words.
“My mother is a very good reminder that there are different ways to feed then what’s probably going through your dirty little mind.” Trying to pull his arms from my grip he tries once more to find his words and when they do come to his muddled mind one question hits my ears.
“And what are you thinking of?”, “Well this for starters.” Leaning forward I spoke calmly against his lips. “Your mother is going to probably kick my ass later.” I joke pulling him into a heated kiss, my hands moving from his wrists to the back of his neck as he attempts to sit up. One hand digging into the earth as the other clings to my side.
“Y-you can feed of kisses?” Came the next breathy question as I pull away, air be damned Newton tasted a lot better than I could have ever imagined.
“Not that many can but I seem to be two of the lucky few who can feed like this, more the emotion behind it. Heated ones seem to be better though.” Kissing along his jaw with every word my fingers move to unbutton his top two buttons getting a good view of the soft scatter of freckles that make his skin their home. Peppering down his neck Newton grumbles at each quick peck. “But right now, I think I have something different in mind.”
“What?-“ Planting a kiss above his collar bone his grip on my side sends a soft wave of goosebumps through my body. Chuckling I plant one last kiss before biting down softly on the nap of his neck a soft gasp pulling from him. After a second of soft reassuring kisses, I pull back a good-sized love bite sits a soft shade of bubble red and purple, the light indents of my teeth against his flesh. Turning my attention to his face I lean forward and plant a swift peck to his lips.
“Okay their Newt?” Blinking a few times, he nods and squints at me, or glaring? At this point I can’t tell.
“You are so getting it later.” The threat even though a little breathy makes a smile come to my face.
“Ooooh, can’t wait.” I joke pecking his lips, pushing up off the dirt floor I dust my hands over my pants. “We better get moving the others must be playing guessing games by this po-“ My voice falls off into a low groan as Newton grabs my tail running the spade between his fingers. Whipping my head around the shit-eating grin on his face tells me everything.
“Told ya.” He shrugs having pushed off the ground, his fingers releasing my tail.
“Oh, you are learning wolf.” I grumbled placing my hand on his chest. “But something you should learn quick.” Leaning forward his hands come to either side of me. “Never tease an Incubus with a good time.” A harsh cough breaks us apart. Looking towards the noise my father stands there with his arms folded over his chest.
“One of these days I’m going to catch you at the worst time, and I will have to bleach my eyeballs. Till then however.” He turns walking towards the direction of the house. “Your mother is looking for you Newton.”
“Shit.” He curses looking behind him for his glasses, grasping his shoulder I pick them off the ground with my tail. Handing them off with a quick peck to the cheek.
“Let’s go see what we missed.” With that, I rush to catch up with my father a smirk on his face as I come to a brisk walk beside him. Elbowing me he keeps his voice low.
“Good to see you looking a lot better.”, “Feeling better too.” I respond as Newton’s footfalls rushed passed us and towards the house.
Reaching the house Newton's mother stood outside her eyes like daggers against our throats as we drew up the porch.
“Sorry Ma.” Lifting her hand, she thumps the back of his head as he passes her and into the house her gaze drawing to his unbuttoned collar for a second. With a quirked brow she grasps my arm as soon as my old man passes.
“Is everything okay Mrs. M?”, “Be careful with marks like that. Especially right now.” The warning tone to her voice wasn’t threatening more worried than anything. “As you know wolves mark what is theirs.”, “I know Mrs. M.” I sort of cut her off I know enough about werewolves to get me by. But she shakes her head, her grip on my arm not to tight but harsh enough to keep my attention. “That mark you put on him was consensual?” nodding she lets out a staggered breath as though worried I would actually do something.
“He's going to want to mark you since you did him.” Releasing my arm, she rolls her wrist. “Only bound wolves ever do that. Shows a sign of trust between partners. Something that can’t be broken. Just wanted to make sure.”
“I understand.” Smiling softly her shoulders seem to drop from the tightened state they had wound themselves up into. “I would never hurt him again. I had once and nearly killed myself in the process, I’m not doing it again. I’m not losing him again.” That seemed to be a good answer as she lands her hand on my shoulder.
“Good, now let’s get inside before your mother starts thinking I killed you.”, “She wouldn’t. I don’t think.” I retort with a glance towards the door. “My mom can be pretty weird sometimes.”
“That’s why we get along.” Stepping passed me she enters the house leaving me on the porch for a minute. Fingers drawing up to my neck as thoughts began to run rampant.
‘Marks like that are really that important to wolves. I wonder when he'll want to do that to me. I did sort of spring it on him, but he didn’t seem to mind.’
Stepping into the house the soft tests of Lilith's voice reaches my ears. Her joking tone followed by Newton's sweet voice, like honey to my ears a hum leaves my lips as I draw into the kitchen. Throwing my hand over my mouth the snort of laughter slips through.
“Don’t you laugh! You did it!” Newton shouts Lilith's harsh laughter had no hold as her hand hits the counter.
“Don’t get me wrong I should have seen it coming but I wasn’t expecting you to take the initiative!” Lilith barks out stopping when their mother was her in the back of the head with a rolled newspaper. “MA!!” She shouts looking back, her right arm raising behind her head. The fingers of that hand moving slowly as it closes into a fist.
“Stop making fun of your brother. Not as bad as you and wife.”, “Hey leave my darling out of this ma.” They quip back and forth for a minute.
“You really know how to pick them kiddo.” Looking over my father is leaned back against the counter smiling.
“Yeah, looks like it.” Newton ducks behind me as his sister lives forward to grab him. “What the-“
“I didn’t do it this time you can’t fucking prove it!!” He shouts laughing as Mac reaches forward yanking Lilith off the ground.
“Damn you and your tank ass bitch!!” Lilith shouts as Mac gives her the most ‘What the fuck' face I have ever seen the guy pull.
“I am not a tank I’m just big-boned.” Mac retorts placing her on back on the ground. During this little werewolf quarrel, out the corner of my eye their mother just stands there with her arms folded a smile on her tired features.
“You got it from your father enough said.” She finally cuts in making them all go silent. “Now while we have a break shall we return to why were all here.”
“Kicking a human’s ass?”, “More kicking a semi-hunters ass.” Mac cuts in as Lilith looks from him to their mother. “Wait what?”
The same question seems to run through Newton's face, but he doesn’t vocalize it as my mother steps around the island in the center of the kitchen.
“Yes, sadly news has come to light that dear Garrett may be a hunter in training.” The words his from her lips, tight, filled with more anger than she’s ever let herself show in a long time. “If this news rains true we may have more problems on our hands, then we could have possibly imagined.”
‘Well shit what are we going to do now.’
