Chapter 4: Human Interaction 101
Evan stared into the closet of clothes that he had. He never went out for dinner in a long time. He only ever went to dinner with his family to spend time with them. He picked at the bandages that he has on his arm.
“ I should probably do something about these bandages.” He muttered.
Evan started to pick out clothes to wear for the dinner. He chose a sweater and jeans to wear. He put on his clothes, got his phone, and headed for the bathroom. He changed the bandages on his arm and replaced them with new ones. He rolled his sleeves down so that he could hide them. He put band-aids on the cuts that were on his face and started wiping down the blood. He flinched at the sting but he had to live with it. He took his phone and started to walk to the place.
Evan(o__o)
I am omw. Are u guys already there?
Valentina<3
Yep, we are here we got a table already see you there!
Evan continued to walk to the destination that Valentina had given him. Once he got there, he saw Valentina and Emilia chatting with each other, not noticing him. He got scared all of a sudden. He never had been good with talking with people ever. Even with his own family, he wasn't good with talking. He only really felt comfortable talking to Oliver. He walked over to their table and sat down.
“Oh, you're finally here! We just took a look at the menu and ordered the appetizers. Is that okay?” Valentina said with a cheerful tone.
“I- uh- “ Evan couldn't find the words to respond to Valentina.
“Yeah, that's fine.” He smiled.
“That's great! So Evan, what are your hobbies? We would like to get to know you better!” Emilia smiled.
“Uhm.. My hobbies. I guess playing games and all. That's all I ever really do.” Evan responded with a low tone. “How about you guys, do you have any hobbies?” He said with a happier tone than before.
“Valentina does crafts while I draw. We both do it together since it is a very similar hobby” Emilia responded.
“Oh, uh, cool,” He said with a monotone voice
“Well, do you have anything juicy in your life?” She smirked and raised her eyebrows. “High school is all about that, so I'm just wondering.”
“I- Uhm… Can I not answer that question?” He felt heat rise to his face.
“You're a party pooper.. I respect your decision, though,” Valentina said with an unhappy tone.
During the dinner, they all chatted and talked with each other. They all got to know each other better and even played truth or dare. Evan, however, was feeling uncomfortable and had to call out of the dinner at the end of it. He apologized to them and ran off to his house.
He ran upstairs and jumped onto his bed. He opened up his laptop and stared at Oliver and his past messages. He smirked at the messages. He did a faint smile closing his eyes, imagining what Oliver looks like. He sighed and quickly got ready to go to bed, without realizing that he forgot to respond.
