You finish your pancakes and hop off your chair, picking up your plate and putting it on the counter. A piece of machinery slides out of a wall panel and scoops up the plate.
You skip into the living room, and spot Gaster on the other side of the room. He’s sitting in a cushioned armchair, with reading glasses on his face, and a book in his lap. Whatever he’s reading, he looks very absorbed in it.
“Hi, Dad!”

Gaster jumps, his glasses falling askew on his face. His eyes dart up to you, and he calms down as he realizes what happened. You feel a little guilty. You didn’t mean to scare him.
“Oh, ah, *ahem* I’m sorry, little one. You startled me.” Gaster says, closing his book.
“S-sorry...” You say, feeling a bit guilty.
“Oh, don’t worry, little one, it’s quite alright. Is there something you need?” He says, as you sit down on the soft rug below you.
“Uhhh... No, I don’t know.”
“Alright, well, is there anything you’d like to do?”
“Uhmm... Oh! Do you have anything to play with?”
“I’m not sure. Let me go check.”
Gaster sets his book aside and stands up.
“Where are you going?” You ask.
“To your room. There should be some toys there. Would you like to come with me?”
“Okay!” You say cheerfully.
The two of you head to your room, where Gaster interacts with one of the wall panels. The panel slides out of the way, revealing a little door. You run up to the door and throw it open, revealing a big pile of toys. Gaster gives a small chuckle as he sees your eyes light up.
You pick out several toys you like, then gather as many as you can in your arms while Gaster picks up the rest. The two of you head back to the living room, where you dump the toys in your arms onto the floor in front of Gaster’s chair. Gaster laughs, gently sets down his items, and sits back down in his chair, where he resumes reading his book as you play with your new toys.
