I didn't know what happened after that moment. I did not understand why I was so close to the ground thus making me feel even smaller by the size of the male in front of me. I thought it was a bad dream but, all things considered, it may have not been a dream. Maybe I really looked like a white wolf. My white ears fluttered, my paws cracking the snow under my feet. He took a step forward as I backed away. I looked around, looking for an escape but nothing. Trees, trees everywhere and that wolf was so close to me that I could feel his breath on my white fur. I kept my eyes on his.
My gesture must have annoyed him because he made a grunt that didn't make me look away. My heart was racing and he continued to play with me, growling and pushing me further and further. He stepped forward once again and I backed away until I couldn't take a step back. I was blocked by a tree. I was so unlucky. My situation seemed to please my opponent who let out a hoarse sound from his throat. The same tone of voice that the red wolf of the day before. Speaking of voices, a grunt to my left caught my attention. The black monster immediately went into an attack position.
I watched the bushes despite my constant fear of facing a creature worse than the one in front of me. My heart nearly dropped when the red haired animal of the previous day came out of the woods, approaching and threatening the male intruder on its territory. He had his lips curled up which allowed us to see his fangs which were looking sharp and dangerous. The one who had hunted me made a loud roar and picked himself up, ready to jump but did not stay. He choose to leave, his red eyes looking into my blue ones before disappearing through the bushes and the trees.
I gradually found my lucidity and my blue eyes crossed the eyes of the red wolf. He also dominated me with his height and strength but, strangely, staring at him did not bother me as much as it did when the black wolf was staring at me. He noticed and it seems like he did not enjoy it because he curled his lips to reveal his fangs that were really impressive. I did not look away, his anger grew and he took a step toward me. He was ready to jump on me when I stepped backward. He calmed down immediately to gauge me with one of his glances.
I looked away and, when our eyes met again, I had the impression that my heart changed and that the expression of my face softened. I wasn't the only one to have felt this tenderness for this wolf as he also looked at me with the same intensity. He shook himself and turned on his heels after he got what he wanted from me: making me look away. I watched him disappear completely into the mist of the forest. My heart had completely calmed down and resumed its usual rhythm. I had wanted to follow him, I did not know why but this desire was still here. Suddenly, a big pain pierced my chest and my body began to transform.
The fur began to disappear. My pointed ears resumed their original form and as well as my whole body changed. I straightened up, trembling, my cheeks red. I was breathing strongly as if it had cost me a superhuman effort. I looked at myself and saw there was a problem. I was naked and my clothes were destroyed. I coughed, I had to find an answer to this little problem. I looked around and saw that there was no one but I could recognize some trees and signs that showed me where I was. So I started to walk toward my garden which shouldn't be too far away from here. I was looking everywhere, feeling really embarrassed.
I was also afraid to find myself face to face with one of the two wolves or, even worse, in front of a human being. What a strange story, I couldn't believe what just happened to me.
