“Stop laughing! Stop…! What about your daemon?”
Clair covered her mouth and laugh one last time, “My daemon…? He’s always by my side, caring for me.”
“Hmph. How unfair…”
“Should I call for him…?”
“Hmm… Will that really be, okay?” Clair nodded, “I want to show you, my daemon. He’s always caring, I’m sure you’ll like him.”
“Then, I’ll call mine as well.”
They nodded, then while they looked at each other, simultaneously calling for their daemon.
“Nyxi.”
“Tados.”
A white dragon and a round daemon made their appearance by their respective maiden. Nyxi sat by Clair but Tados, plop itself on top of Wright’s head.
“Well, isn’t it the watcher. So, you’re the one with the bright girl.” Rolling itself off her head and landing in front of the white dragon.
“You don’t change do you, Tados?”
Flying up, the white dragon hovers to Wright, turns to face her, “Let me apologies for this daemon action.” And bowed its dragon head to her.
“You’re a nice daemon, just like Lydia described…” She nodded slightly, “…and thank you, for always looking out for her.”
“No, it’s alright. It’s my pleasure to care for this bright child, then I shall take my leave and leave you two be.” The white dragon vanished and returns back to Clair while the round daemon, having already scour around the room, did the same and returned to Wright.
With daemon gone, they continue chatting away, about the days they couldn’t share but always wanted to...
“It’s getting late, let’s go to sleep.”
Clair nodded and curled beside her.
“I wonder what you’ll think of her, I can’t wait…”
“Hmm…?”
“Sweet dreams, Lydia...”
Clair and Wright, snuggle together and slept the night away and when next the day came. As if the maple incident had never happened, the two spent their time together, like they always had. The day went by before they knew it and Wright had to head back home. She was already leaving through the front door but Clair wanted her to stay for another night.
And while Clair was clinging onto her, “Tomorrow we can go to school together, okay?”
“Hmm…” she nodded and waved, as Wright headed off.
The next day, Clair peeked her head out her door and checked if Wright was there, she quietly left through the gate.
“Huh…!?”
“What are you doing…? Hurry up, we’re going to be late.” She grabs onto Clair’s hand and headed off to school.
They reached their classroom with a few minutes to spare, Clair headed over to her seat and notices a new classmate. It was Campbell, her seat was right behind hers and now she knows what Wright was talking about that night.
“…Hi… Nice to meet yo–u.” Campbell had bit her tongue as the teacher came in.
“I’m Lydia, nice to meet you too.” And quickly took her seat.
The teacher made his way to the desk, “Take your seat everyone, class going to start now.” And as students took their seat, the classroom rustle with the sound of tables and chairs being moved around
Classes when on without a hitch and when lunch period was upon them. Campbell turn to Wright, wating to invite her for lunch but before she could, Wright had gone over to Clair and they were already making their way out.
“I wanted to thank her…” as she placed an overly grandiose lunchbox onto her desk.
Clair and Wright, headed over to the roof access.
“Ellie… We can’t go in there, it’s locked.”
“No, it’s fine. Look.” Wright swings open the door and pulled Clair along, and onto the rooftop of school, there were fences all around but the view was still worth it.
As Wright sat down by the door and invites Clair to join her, “If we get caught–”
“It’s fine, hurry up and come here.” patting the floor beside her.
Clair reluctantly accepts her invite and sat by her; the two now leisurely spent their time together and seemly forgetting about the time and as they came to realize that they were going to be late, they rushed off.
Reaching just in the nick of time, they made their way to their seats, Sofia, who sat a sit away from Clair, turn to her, “So, you two finally made up already.”
Clair smiled softly while Wright, “That’s right and you’re always so direct, Jade.”
“I see no reason to beat around the bush.”
“What’s going?”
Ciel Cecilia, who sat a seat further than Sofia, came over.
“Are you two getting back along again?” She went over to Clair and grabbed her hands.
“Hmm…” Clair nodded while Cecilia shook her hand and brightly smiled, “Thank goodness.”
Sofia placed her textbook of next class, over her head, “Go back to your seat, Ciel.”
“Sorry about that, I got too excited but I’m truly glad that you’ve made up.” She let’s go of her hand and headed back to her seat, just as the next class was about to start.
