The moon was shine bright in the sky, blades of tall grass tickled my nose as Iaid there, fireflies shined bright as they flew around me.I came here with my brother, Kris. He was 6 years older than me but we looked very similar. We both had short dark brown hair, deep dark brown eyes, and olive colored skin. He was a lot taller though. I was 4 foot 3, and he was like 7 feet!
We came to the meadow on top of Mt.Ebott very often, mostly because I would beg him to come here with me. We actually lived in a small cabin in the forest below the mountain. Mom and dad died a few years after I was born, so it was just me and Kris.
“Frisk, how do you keep talking me into coming here?” He said, shaking his head
“A magician never reveals her secrets” I said, with the biggest smile on my face
“Not even to her brother?” He asked making sad puppy-dog eyes
“I can tell you” I paused, very dramatically “If you tell me a story”
“A story?” He asked
“Yup” I said “A one ‘bout this here mountain” I did a random accent as I talked.
“Hmm…” He was thinking of one “Once upon a time, many many years ago, humans and monsters lived in harmony.” He started
I sat up in the grass, listening closely to the story
“Then one day a huge war started, staining the earth with chaos and ruin.” He continued “But in the end we the humans, forced the monsters into the underground, under this very mountain”
“Why did we force them all down? What if some of them were nice?” I said
“Because the humans of the past were scared of the monsters” He said grimmly “But one day a young human will fall into the world of monsters and bring peace to the two worlds”
I smiled brightly, knowing someday someone will bring peace.
He then got his cheesy ‘I have a idea for a game’ face “roar!” he growled and chased me around the field “I’m a big mean monster!”
“Ahh! So scary!” I giggled as I ran through the field. He might be bigger than me, but I'm the fastest of us two. And since I am so small, I can easily hide in the grass, which is about 5 feet somehow.
I kept running and running, I know I lost him but it was just to be safe.
Suddenly, the world slid out from under me! I fell down a huge hole, it seemed almost bottomless.
“Frisk!” My brother screamed in fear as he saw me falling
I just closed my eyes, hoping it was just a dream. I felt roots from trees brushing against my arms and legs. The smell of dusty, rotten wood filled my nose. My hair was flying above my head.
After what felt like a lifetime of falling I landed...and…I’m still alive? How? I opened my eyes to see I was laying in a small circle of golden buttercups.
I looked up at the hole seeing pale moonlight coming from it. I must’ve fallen over a hundred miles, and the flowers broke my fall???
I stood up, my legs a little wobbly from being in complete shock. I looked around, but everything seemed to be shrouded in darkness.
“Howdy there!” A voice said from behind me, which made me jump back in the opposite direction.
“W-who are you?! Where a-are you?!” I said, I was scared because I didn’t know what was going on, or where I was.
“Down here!” the voice said. I looked down to see a flower...with a face? “Howdy, I’m Flowey! Flowey the Flower!”
“Umm…” I didn’t know how to respond to the small butter cup with a smiley face. I can’t even decide if it’s cute or freaky.
“You took quite a big fall! ...And you landed in my family...” He said the last part quietly “Are you alright?”
“I- I’m somehow ok” I said to the flower. How's this even possible? “Where am I? Did I actually die? Will I ever make it back home?!” I was breathing fast, my legs giving out on me as I collapsed to the floor.
What if I never see my brother again? What if I never leave this place, I’ll never come home! And what if I really am dead?!
“Calm down” He said “You're in the underground. no you aren’t dead. And you can make it back home when your soul is stronger” He gave me an almost evil smile as he said the last answer. An uneasy feeling coursed through me, leaving chills to run up my spine.
“How, d-do I make my soul stronger” I asked. Then I remembered something my brother taught me. ‘Never trust strangers’. He always told me that when I was little.
“With LV of course!” he said, as happy music grew “Do you know what LV is? It means LOVE! You need the LOVE to make your soul stronger!”
“Umm…..ok?” I was very confused on how everything worked.
*frisk as entered a battle screen (which she didn’t know)*
"What- what is this places?!" I asked
