His dark eyes watched as he swirled the amber liquid in his glass around. The music that bumped all around him had been drowned out by his thoughts moments ago. Zac's body melted into the lounge he was sitting on. A leg stretched out straight in front of him while the other bent at the knee. It was his night off of sorts. He got to spend his evening up on the main floor of the club. He had barely won his last alpha fight, keeping him in the top ranks for winners. 

Zac liked winning, but he loved to fight even more so. Shaw's so far has been the only place he's happened to stumble upon that gave him pretty much everything he wanted. Zac had a roof over his head, money in his pocket, and a drink in his hand. All he had to do to get all this was what he loved, smashing skulls. 

"Refill, Sir?" Asked the tiny waitress as she made her rounds back to him.

He gave a quick nod watching as she filled his glass once more. Drinks were on the house tonight. Any night he got to spend on this level was on the house. A bit of a reward so to speak. 

"Mind if I join you?" Purred Alex as he slid into the space next to Zac. Running his fingers up along his extended leg, "Odd to find you alone." He commented. 

Zac's time on the floor was never spent alone. He always had a dancer or two on his arm. Free ass was another perk of being the top-ranked fighter. Shaw was good with his rewards to those that helped him. It was a spot that took a lot of work on his part to get. One didn't simply win a fight or two to get here. They had to make waves, make a name for themselves to reap such benefits. 

When he first walked in those front doors, he was nothing but a hot-headed alpha that thought he deserved anything and everything he wanted. Hell, that hasn't changed. Zac still thought that, but now he was Zac The Destroyer. He had a name. He had a reputation that must be upheld. 

That reputation wasn't just inside the ring either. He smirked as he looked over at Alex, his fingertips now halfway up his thigh. Zac could feel the shake in his touch. 

"Go away," Zac commented. 

Alex smiled weakly, leaning into Zac to scent him, but that wasn't possible since he was a beta and didn't carry such markings. Nor was he stupid enough to try such a thing with an alpha like him. Alex just upped his flirtation with Zac in hopes of changing his mind. 

"Don't send me away. Things haven't even gotten started yet." He purred again. 

Alex was only here because Shaw told him to be. All the other dancer's Zac had either already been with and were now afraid of him. Or he had zero interest in them and made that known. He was the only one that Zac hadn't done either with.

Zac just turned and glared at him. Hard enough to make Alex drop his hand and the act he was putting on. 

"Shaw sent me. He won't be pleased unless I please you." He stated, eyes looking down. 

Shaw wasn't blind. He noticed the shift in Zac ever since Asher rejected him. Even more so once Asher walked out of here hand and hand with Theon. Neither of them has been heard from since, and that was three months ago. Shaw saw that his best fighter was starting to decline, and he wasn't happy about that one bit. 

Zac needed something to fight for, a cause that gave him the edge in the ring. Not to say, he wasn't a good fighter because he was one of the best, but others were just as good. Asher was his edge. Shaw had held Asher as some kind of unmaintainable bait over Zac. Giving him just enough to gnaw on and think there could be something. Losing Asher to Theon hit Shaw hard in more ways than one. 

Shaw stood above the club floor outside his office as he watched with his light blue eyes as Alex approached Zac. A simple test to gauge where he was currently at with Zac. 

"I said . . .'' Growled Zac. As he snapped forward from his resting position, knocking over his drink in the process. Placing his hand around the thin neck of Alex's, pressing, threatening. "Go away." 

He could see Alex squirm underneath his touch. Feel how tense he was the moment he walked up to him. Zac got it. Most were afraid of him and the ones that weren't want to use him.
