John had the habit of scratching his cleft chin when thinking really hard. And this time he was thinking especially hard. He was thinking of the efforts it took to reach this point in his life, all what he sacrificed, all what he gained.
But the point that was bugging him the most was the motive of Iscander to call him here and do all of this. What was the reason on calling only him? What did Iscander see in him that forced it to call him here? Why?
A triple tap knock on the door of his room meant they were soon going to start the fight. He was being summoned onto the scenario like a tool of the apparently good side. Till this point in his life, he had never been indecisive. But this was about to change really quick.
He made a superhero landing on the desolate plains from a cliff near the battlefield. And then began the slaughter. He killed without even blinking and thinking. His left hand made a gesture and an immensely hot fireball, or more realistically a fireball of the size of a mountain, immerged and instantly one third of the opposing army was wiped of the planet. Weirdly, John had a really sour expression when casting magic.
The cavalry felt despair for the first time in their lives, they felt as if the god of destruction has just landed in front of them. Many started to pray and worship the god in front of them out of fear and reverence. John couldn't less for the people he killed. He felt no remore, he had been desensitized by the horrors he had seen in him journey.
The onslaught carried on till John made his way to the castle of the king with the help of his “comrades”. His comrades had smiles and were really happy that this nightmare was going to end soon.
On the other hand, John was still looking for the reason. The reason for all of this.
John had a really dark joke planned for which he had requested to be transported back to Earth through the precariously invented teleportation magic and brought a speaker and a music CD with him. He wanted to run behind the king with an axe while the song “Run” by AWOL played in the background. The amount of direds he had spend just to teleport a speaker was absurd. He was looking for a reason to make all of this worth it. As if he hadn’t even felt an inch of worthiness from all the adventuring and battles he had encountered in his journey.
He was just setting up the speakers using lighting magic when suddenly one of the king’s knight interrupted him.
He could imagine the king smugly running away. Enraged, he obliterated the knight, shouted “Omae wa mou shindeiru!” and laughed maniacally.
At last, in front of the king, he dumped his joke in the trash and leisurely walked towards Georgios’ throne. Many knights tried to attack him but he just annihilated all of them in an instant. One of the knights, Grey, came forward asking for a knights’ duel.
After pondering for an amount of time that would be considered too long for John, he not-so-politely declined him.
John shouted “This isn’t a comic but real life you have to handle everything not with pride but with brains! Are you stoooopid!?” and killed the guy in an instant.
Georgios was plotting of way to get rid of John but was left open mouthed since the ring on John’s left hand had to light up when used to imbue magic. Which meant that John had overpowered everyone in the throne room with his strength alone. The king now shaken that John hadn’t even used his ring, started to talk, seemingly wasting more time.
“Well done, well done! You have really become the God you always wished to be.”
