It took a while before Yue Long finally succumb to exhaustion from crying. Her small hand was tightly holding on to the green and gold outer robes, It seemed like she was afraid that the person she was hanging on to might disappear from her grasp. Mu Jun tried to gently pull Yue’s hand off, but it wouldn’t budge. He used a bit more strength and still Yue’s hand would not move. Mu Jun looked up to the others and pointed to Yue’s hand.
“It’s really tight grip. I can’t get her hand off. A bit of help here?” He asked quietly for the help of the others. Kung Zhong was already trying to pry Yue’s hands off using his what was left of his strength. But he could not get her hand off either. Kung Zhong tried for several minutes before giving up, he was starting to get angry for no reason. His emotions stirred as he looked at the sight of his best friend being clung on to by a woman. Seeing how Kung Zhong was reacting to the sight Xue Xing could only stifle a small chuckle that wanted to peak its way out. Walking over to the sleeping Yue he placed his hand over the clenched up fist holding on to the green and gold robes. Lowing his head, the ink like hair seemed to cover the sight of his lips. Quietly Xue Xing whispered into Yue Longs ear.
“Do you think she will let go if you whisper nonsense into her ear.” Xiu Feng said with a hint of irritation. Only to have his words thrown back in his face as Yue’s hand that was like iron and had not budge when two gods had failed to pull off. Slid easily as if it were oiled into Xue Xing’s hand which was now being tightly gripped. Allowing Mu Jun to make a quick getaway as Xue Xing picked up the exhausted girl. Xue Xing paused for a moment as he noticed something was happing to Yue Long. He adjusted his grip on her body to be proper and not to offend her when she is sleeping. Yue was being carried by Xue Xing and by her own grip there was no way to be put down.
“Something else is wrong. She is trembling in her sleep.” Xue Xing said as he moved away from Mimi’s body. Yue long was a light girl from what Xue Xing could tell by holding her, but she was starting to weigh him down. It felt as if it she was becoming a statue made from iron. It was only a few steps when Xiu Feng sees that something seemed to bother his friend.
“What else is happening? You have only walked a few steps and you look as if you tried to move mountains.” Xiu Feng’s voice held only the slightest of concern but was not completely worried about the problem.
Kung Zhong was staring at Yue like she was a monster of unknow origin. Mu Jun was fixing Mimi’s body so it would rest more properly. His head cocked to the side a little as he picked up a scroll that was hidden behind Mimi.
“Master Mimi was hiding a scroll behind her. Kung look. It smells like the other one you have.” Mu Jun tossed it towards Kung Zhong, but it froze in mid-air. Circling around it was a white mist that danced elegantly along with it. Xue Xing was kneeling next to the window when Kung Zhong pointed to him slightly shaking. Moonlight was shining through the window down on the two. The clouds were pushed out of way by the night wind.
“She is awake.” Were the words that left his mouth. Yue longs breathing did change a bit and she shifted in Xue Xing’s arms. Yue long was now sitting up, yet she was changing before their eyes. Her hair as black as the night sky was now turning as white as freshly fallen snow. Lightly here eyes opened to show pure white jade-colored eyes. They told a story just one that could be discovered yet. Yue had moved from the arms of Xue Xing to the right of him instead. She sat properly and raised her hand as the scroll glided across the room. It gently rested in her hand. Opening it she let a sigh pass her lips.
“Oh, my dear friend I hope you can rest in peace. Thank you for raising us up. I just hope she does not suffer the same fate as before. I am truly sorry for abandoning my duties as your master Mimi.” Yue Long’s voice was gentle and seemed to soften the rooms atmosphere. Small silver shimmering flakes started to fly around the room as Mimi started to disappear from where she lay. Her body was turning into silver petals. “Go back to home to the water my friend.” Each petal flew out of the window towards Flower lake. Kung Zhong recognized the voice as the same one from the Ma sect.
“Who are you Miss? Why do you possess Yue Long’s body?” He asked while hiding behind Mu Jun. Yue’s gaze drifted up wards towards the Young Man in front of her. She opened the scroll more and flung it into the air. Yue’s voice could be heard as a flower appeared from the scroll. Half its petals black the other half gently curling underneath were a sunrise red. Its stem was a dark green that came from dark blue water.
“Long ago there was a gentle and caring goddess that came from nowhere. She just appeared from nothing as they like to say. But the true story is much more complicated than that.” The flower had grown smaller as baren mountains surrounded it. “It started with a seed that was discarded into a puddle of water. It was considered a dead seed by those who threw it away. Yet it still had a small amount of life that was struggling to breath. It grew from that small puddle of water into a strong flower. Yet it was left all alone to be forgotten but it still danced with the wind. The flower would not wilt or even falter in the water. That very place was a place that would not allow that pretty flower to die. For years it had to stay and wait for anyone or anything to come pluck it from its spot. But no one came to its aid or to even chat with it.” Yue’s white eyes looked at the image with a somber expression. It seemed like she was living the words that she spoke. Her voice was steady and continues as she told the tale to the four gods. “A few centuries pasted as the flower waited patiently. All it wished for was a friend.” The image drew back to the flower as it started to glow a black mist lined with a soft red glow. Forming inside was a figure it looked that looked like a woman, but the face and body was coved by long black hair. The ends of the persons hair were red that faded into the black. “Its feelings were strong enough and it was able to cultivate into a spirit. The spirit of the moon had watched this little seed become a spirit by its own will. So, one night while the moon was clear and full it floated down to grant this small flower spirit a wish. But when the Moon spirit came down it noticed that the area around had started to flourish with all kinds of flowers and the water level had risen up. The moon spirit had been so focused on that small flower that it did not notice that the surrounding area had been given life.” The image from the scroll showed two figures now one was floating above the other. Dressed in light gray gown it floated graciously, the edges barley tapping the surface of the water. While the one standing in the water only covered by their black and red hair looked up at the Moon spirit. The water around the flower was now clear blue that had several different flowers blooming around it. Grass was growing along the mountains and along the lake edge.
“Child, I have watched you grow. And I have witnessed that you have given life to this area. You are so patient and caring of the area around I wish to grant you one wish if you allow. Was what the Moon spirit asked the flower.” Yue flicked her hand as the flower spirit spun and water rose where she stood. They both were face to face with gentle smiles. The flower spirit mouth opened. “ ‘if it is not selfish of me to ask. Then please help me roam around and to help those who need it. I would like help those who are struggling like I was before Please Moon spirit.’ The flower spirit asked with hope in its voice.” Yue’s hand twitched as the Flower spirit grabbed the moon spirit’s hand. “How this request was so precious from just a seed that was abandoned by its owners before. It had taken the moon spirit by surprise. But it thought with a smile maybe there was a way for this wish and Its own wish to be filled.” The image had turned into towns burning and empires being thrown into chaos by gods and daemons alike. But the Spirit of the moon did not have enough power to help nor even protect the people that liked to watch. It showed the moon spirit running all around to the children who could see it and saving them from the chaos but that was all it could do. It cried for those who it could not save and helped them rest in peace.
Yue smiled as the imaged returned to the two spirits that had their hands interlaced. It seemed like she was watching a fond memory of the past. Getting up she looked out the window and watched the moon. “The moon then was just a spirit then and could not do anything but watch and play with happy children. If it could save any children from death, it would help them at night and lead them to safety or to food. This time the Moon Spirit can make its wish come true along with another spirit’s wish. So, it said ‘okay I can make that happen my little flower. But you have to promise me one thing.’ The flower only waited for the Moon spirit to tell. ‘If you can put an end to the wars that have been raging. Try to save the mortals.’ Was all the Moon spirit could ask for.” Yue Long sat on the edge of the window perfectly balanced. The wind caressed her hair gently and let float like the white clouds during the day. The four watched the Young woman with intent.
“How do you know this? Who exactly are you?” Xiu Feng asked as he stared at her with burning suns. Yet those white jades did not falter under the intense stare and heat from the eyes. They stayed staring at the moon.
Yue’s lips parted again as the story continued “With a smile the Moon spirit started to poor all of its power into the flower. It already knew the answer from the flower spirit and thus started the process in helping the spirit become more. As the power was poured into the flower, its spirit had faded.” The image projected by the scroll followed the words showing the Moon spirit transferrin its power directly to the flower that had seemed to close from being exposed to a steady stream of power. As the flower grew the flower spirit was fading away. “The moon spirit was disappearing breaking apart bit by bit. With a smile the Moon said its last words to the Flower spirit before it fully faded away. After a few more moments the Moon Spirit had gave all its power and hugged the closed flower one last time before disappearing.” All that was left was an enlarged closed black and red flower. The four watched the flower as they waited for what was going to happen. Slowly one black petal started to fall then the next until all of them had fallen. Sitting in the middle was now a woman covered by a red cloak. Right as the women looked up to show her face the scroll had rolled itself back up and was hovering in front Kung Zhong who was still hiding behind Mu Jun.
