Seth approached her mother. But before he even had a chance to utter a word, she immediately noticed him.
"How was your training, Seth?"
He scratched the back of his head.
"Ah... er... it was no good, mother. At least for now."
"Mm. Don't overdo it, okay?"
"Of course, mother."
"Good." She smiled. "By the way, Lyn came here earlier, but I told her that you were still practicing so she left. You should meet up with her. The two of you didn't meet for a week."
"Sure. I have nothing to do after all. I'll be on my way now, mother."
"Take care, Seth."
After bidding farewell to his mother, he turned around and strolled along the dirt path.
His trip was uneventful so he spent most of the time entertaining his bored self by thinking about trivial matters. However, that pleasant reverie of his immediately vanished into thin air when he accidentally bumped against a person.
thud
"You blind?!"
Seth promptly looked at the person he had bumped onto.
Ah... yet another noble brat, he thought with a displeased look on his face.
He could tell by the young noble's luxurious and well-adorned tunic. Even though the noble seemed somewhat his age, he had a saber strapped to his waist — probably to show off or something.
Even so, Seth knew that he was the one who was at fault, so he decided to end it peacefully.
"Forgive me. I was being careless," Seth apologized, slightly dipping his head.
"Hmph. Next time, do not walk like your eyes are placed under your feet!"
The noble brat continued walking in the opposite direction.
Although it wasn't shown on the surface, Seth was slightly irritated by the brat's spoiled behavior and rude response, but he chose to let it slide. He naturally had a short fuse towards noble brats like him.
Paying more attention to the surroundings this time, Seth continued making his way to where he assumed Lynstella was.
They mostly, if not always, meet on the place where they grew old — Or rather, the place where they first met and had spent most of their time. And on that same place, that's now right in front of him, he saw Lynstella getting cornered on a tree by someone.
"How the hell......?" Seth had this kind of look on his face.
