High above the demonic energy was a giant cloud above the crowed only for it to be slowly getting smaller. Yue on the ground who was coughing from lack of proper bodily functions turned to meet the rounded eyed hamster looking straight at her. …… Silence in sued between the two before they both pushed each other back in shock about distance. Looking around Yue Long searched for her friend Jingyi Min. Only knowing that she was right there but now she was not. ‘Where is Min?’ Yue thought to herself as she got up. The burning that was once there now gone. Yue had not a clue of what was happening as when Lin-Bao Ma went to slap Jingyi Min Yue had lost consciousness. Thus, even her right now on the ground was a bit confusing.
“Min? Min? Where are you Min? Where is Min?” She looked at the master who was readjusting himself from the being pushed. Master Zhong looked at the girl a bit puzzled made some motions with his hands and then took a deep breath.
“What do you remember Miss Yue?” Was a very simple asked question but it felt like a insult was directed at Yue. With a nervous smile Yue scratched her head. “I only remember Lin-Bao Ma about to slap Min. Then it is nothing. I lost consciousness. That’s all really.” Master Zhong could not believe the nonsense she was spouting, but the look on Yue’s face gave him all the reason to believe she was telling the truth. Though what put him the most in shock was Yue’s eyes there seemed to be little light of life in them.
“You are the whole reason that up there is going on!” Yelled Master Feng who lifted Yue up. Looking up Yue saw the black cloud of demonic energy and just as it was there it flew past the mountains and disappeared. The rest of the people gathered started talking and mingling again. As if the whole thing ordeal did not happen. Yue had no idea what was going on thus was trying to find Jingyi Min who had disappeared. Her eyes were a little frantic as Min was the only one, she really wanted to talk to while being there. Everyone started to move around and talking to one another. Yue Long shook off Master Feng’s hands from her collar and started to running around. She pulled some of the other girl’s arms. “Where is Jingyi Min? Where did she go?” These questions were met with confused faces. Those Yue had pulled on circled around her and patted her back. Like they were trying to console her a loss of a loved one or sooth a child that has been crying.
“Sister Yue who is Jingyi Min you keep asking about?” one gently said in a sweet tone. However, Yue long stepped away from the girls who were wanting to help her. ‘They don’t remember Jingyi Min? She was just here! Why did she just disappear?’ Yue thought to herself. Her body was starting to freeze up from the sudden crowding around her. There were far too many eyes on Yue Long than what she was used to. The somber smile that was perfected was no longer there. In place of it was a slightly agape mouth opened that was in shock and under duress. Yue long was looking for a way out of the crowd that circled her. The cold persona had collapsed completely and now the pure innocents was showing through. Yue long feared the people around her, no she really was not scared of them. She was more scared of what she would do if her fear rose any further.
‘PROTECT!’ It was a call subconsciously made from fear. The spiritual energy was a wave that spread out from Yue. The energy caught the Mountain masters and some of the quieter cultivators who were standing out of the way. The call made all the master react. Yue was no longer in the eyes of dozens of people but now in the arms of Xue Xing and outside of the complex. The other three stood around the two as Masted Xing put Yue down. “Home I just want to go back to Mimi.” Yue said gently. There was this drained look around Yue that made the others feel a bit bad. “We will walk you home. If that is alright with you Mis Long? Or should we call You Red Daemon?”
Master Zhong asked as he pulls out another scroll to start reading. There was an angry and grumbling masked tiger that had his arm around Master Zhong’s waist. Master Feng was silent and staring at the sky where the demonic energy went.
“That girl just saved your pathic life Yue Long.” He said after a few moments. Yue clenched her fist and turned her back to the men. “I don’t even know what has happened how can you say that?” Yue’s smile couldn’t hold its self-up at all if she was smiling anyways. “And which girl are you referring to? There were many there besides me Master Feng.” Yue voice was soft and gentle almost like it was fine thread about to snap from the slightest tug.
“Jingyi Min!”
It was at a speed that none of them expected as Yue Long had already turned Master Feng around. “You know Min’s name? You remember Min! I thought they all forgot about her. Everyone I asked who is that? Thank heavens someone knows Min. I have to go find her if that demon cloud took her.” Yue had a grip on Master Feng’s arms tightly. It told him that she needed this confirmation. Xiu Feng looked down Yue Long her pale face had a broken but happy look to it. A somber smile with eyes that looked like they were about to cry. Yue’s pale skin almost made him think that she was made of porcelain. Her ink like eyes seemed to pierce through him and now Master feng was some what regretting his earlier statement. “I have to go thank you. I must save Jingyi Min. Goodbye Mountain Masters.”
Yue let go of Master Feng and started to run towards the lake that could be seen in the distance. The four were a bit dumbstruck by her reaction. They still had that wave effect from not to long ago when ‘protect’ rang through their minds at once. Thus, they followed Yue down the hill towards the lake where they could feel the spiritual energy gather.
“Oh, Flower lake. It is a great place if you want to go into retirement and cultivate still. Very beautiful place it is. I was wondering if we might actually go there and feel how the spiritual power is there.” Kung Zhong looked up slightly then back down to his scroll. Then he turned his head to the pouting tiger and raised his eyebrow. “Why did you suddenly go quiet Gege?” There was some concern within the voice that was a bit neutral before. The other two rolled their eyes at the affection they displayed but they did not care for it. Mu Jun Stared down at the clear light gray spot running through the roads of the town.
“Her back…. There is no blood. When taking out all that energy her back bleed cause of the stress of the pull. Now there is nothing.” Mu Jun’s voice told everyone he was a bit confused. It was like he was trying to connect pieces together, but it was not forming the picture quite right yet.
Everyone stopped walking as they walked out of the entrance to town. For the three that did not notice this it felt like a few dozen rocks had fallen on them. For being the Mountain Masters and being gods at that did not notice a simple change.
“What on earth is that girl? Could she really be a god like us?” Xiu Feng looked up to the sky as it was now a dark blue speckled with little white dots.
“Xue Xing what do you do for the other aspects of the night?” Xiu Feng helped shake off the weight of the thing they overlooked. They continued walking towards the lake seeing the sky was gradually changing from the clear night sky to a cloudy one. Xue Xing looked up and took notice of the change.
“I manage the stars and how clear it is at night that is all. The moon on the other hand I have no control over.” Xue Xing said as he pointed up. “But I planed for tonight to be a clear night. As we would be walking places. Yet it is starting to cloud.” All looked up as they walked towards a home where no light could be seen, they walked towards it. The closer the group got the more they saw was a gate that was broken down and part of a wall that seemed to be shattered by a fight.
The stairs leading up to the house were partly broken while other pieces were still intact. A light purple shimmer covered some areas of the home. While there were faint silver wisps of energy that protected the foundation of the home from being destroyed. “This power is from someone who cultivated under the Long Sect. This should be the power of Mimi the Steal Rose. But who is the other person I have not seen someone with a purple spiritual power unless they were a god but who?” Kung Zhong looked closely at the areas that had spiritual power left.
“If so, why is the power of Mimi Long disappearing then?” Xiu Feng asked as he just glanced at it. Soon a heavy feeling set in the air. A mix of anger and anguish started to fill the air but dread and despair. Then a light wave of spiritual energy burst from inside the home. It engulfed the area they were in and started to thicken.
A strange white glow was coming from the window that could be seen from where the four stood. By the minute, the spiritual power started getting heavier and thicker. Everyone’s movements were getting sluggish and it harder to breath. Any normal mortal would have fainted by now. But it was even a bit of a struggle for these gods to lift their arms from their side. Mu Jun let go of Kung Zhong and using his own spiritual power moved with ease through the increasing pressure. Kung Zhong seemed a little surprised from this and quickly followed the tiger who never once let go of him voluntarily. Xiu Feng and Xue Xing knew something was wrong when Mu Jun let go of his world thus, they followed behind with their swords drawn ready for a fight. Yet when they got in their eyes laid upon a scene that was truly heart breaking.
