The crab loved seeing the shooting young tree make its way through the ground. Every year it increased, until spring finally bloomed. Among the smooth, broad green leaves, the fruits hung like golden balls, and as they matured they softened to a deep orange. The crab was a happy to go out on a daily basis and sit in the sun and set his long eyes out just like a snail stretches its horn and watch the persimmons mature.
The perfection.
"How delicious they will be to eat!" he said to himself.
Finally one day, he learned that the persimmons must be very mature and really wanted to try one. He made several attempts trying to climb the tree, in vain hope of reaching one of the the beautiful persimmons hanging over it; but failed always, because crab legs are not made for climbing trees, but just to run on the ground and on the stones. In his dilemma he thought his old playmate the monkey, who knew he could climb trees better than anyone in the world.
He decided to ask the monkey to help him, and went looking for him. Ran the crab on the rocky river bank, lanes in the shaded forest, the crab found the monkey taking a nap on his favorite pine tree, with a its tail wrapped tightly around a branch. Soon he was wide awake, when he heard the crab's call, and listened in earnest to what the said the crab. When he heard that the seed he had long ago exchange for a rice ball turned into a tree a it bore good fruit, he drew up a cunning plan that would give him everything alone. He agreed to go with the crab to collect the fruit. When they both arrived at the place the monkey was amazed to see what beautiful tree had sprouted from the seed, and with the amount of ripe fruit loading the branches.
