Roh Pau’Muu was born on the planet Lah’mu. After the Clone Wars, Roh’s parents relocated to the Lah’mu System to live a peaceful life. On this planet, they became simple farmers that grew wheat and herd Mityuks, a Bantha-like creature.
Families on this planet were quite secluded as their land spanned many acres. In order to trade with fellow neighbors, the families would travel to the inner city which typically took three days by Mityuk. Most families were low to middle-class and couldn’t afford fancy transportation vehicles.
Since Roh’s parents would have to make long trips to the inner city, she was often left home alone with the Nannydroid. This forced her to grow up quickly and was capable of taking care of herself early on in life.
One night, while Roh was stargazing, bright light shot through the sky like a shooting star. Being the innocent child she was, she made a wish on the star to one day be able to explore all the galaxies. However, the shooting star kept falling, deeper into the atmosphere and fell into the nearby forest.
Roh sprang up into action as the ground beneath shook. She quickly grabbed her adventure pack and walking stick, immediately taking off into the forest to investigate the fallen star. Using a luminous plant pod as a lamp, she ventured into the forest. After several minutes of entering the forest, Roh could smell burnt metal and rubber. It wasn’t a pleasant smell. In a distance she could see the “fallen star” from where the smell came from, and carefully crept closer towards it.
Hiding behind a tree, she was a few meters away from the crash. She could hear a coughing and someone climbing out of the debris. They had collapsed and fainted after crawling a few inches away from the now realized ship. Roh carefully approached the fainted creature and examined them, only to realize it was a humanoid being. They looked to have been quite beaten up and breathing heavily. They wore light robes that had been tattered and slightly charred from the crash, sharp horns stuck out from the top of their bald head, and their skin fell a dull yellow in the moonlight. On their hip was a hilt of some sort. Something about it really resonated with Roh. It was as if it were calling to her.
The person coughed and broke her out of the trance. She asked if they were alright. But they were too faint to respond. Roh quickly took out her first aid kit and started helping the fainted creature.
Roh never grew up knowing of evil or bad people. Her first instinct was to help the seemingly dying person. She went back home to grab water and more first aid to help. After bandaging up the faint being, she left clean water and food beside their body for when they awoke, then retired back home for the night.
The next morning, Roh got up extra early to check on the faint being. Carefully approaching the scene again, she peeped from behind a tree. The body was no longer there and the food was gone. It seems they had woken up.
Suddenly she heard a beam unsheathe and the tree glowed in front of her. She turned around to see the unknown person glaring down at her with menacing eyes. She’s never felt such power in her life. She was sure she would die right there and then.
But the unknown person continued to stare, analyzing Roh. They had put the pieces together and realized she was the one to have nursed them back to health. But beyond that, there was a feeling even deeper. One that could not be fully explained.
‘The force was strong with this one, whether she knew it or not.’
The unknown being retracted their saber and walked away towards the broken ship. Roh released her breath and recollected herself from the surging fear. She turned and shouted out to the unknown person, “Where did you come from?” The unknown being continued walking as if he couldn’t hear her.
Roh started trailing behind him, immediately forgetting the menacing aura she had just felt. “Excuse me, where did you come from? I really would like to know what it’s like out there in other galaxies! I wished on a shooting star to explore the galaxy and then I found you. Clearly you're not from around here. So my wish must be coming true!”
“Listen kid, I appreciate your help, but you better leave me alone before you regret it.”
“But, I want to learn more.”
“Where are your parents, shouldn’t they be more concerned their child is missing from home?”
“They’re barely home because of work. It’s really boring at home. Please tell me a story of the outer worlds! How can I travel to different galaxies? Are people nice? Do they look like you or look like me? How can I leave this planet?”
“You need a ship… And from the looks of it, I won’t be leaving this planet any time soon either…”
“If you need a place to stay, you’re free to take shelter in our home.”
“I don’t think your parents would appreciate a stranger you just met, in your home. Just scram, kid, I'll be good here, thanks for your help.”
Roh looked to the ground and made a small pout.
“What's that light sword you were using before? Do all out-worlder’s have them?”
“Beat it kid! I swear!”
“It spoke to me.”
The unknown being paused and stared at Roh. As they suspected, this little girl had a connection to the force. Out of curiosity, he investigated a bit more.
“What did the light sword tell you?”
“Mmm, it didn’t use any words in particular. But it wanted me to take it. Obviously I would never steal from a stranger! But why does the light sword talk?”
“Interesting, it seems you are akin to the force. Only those that are force-sensitive can adequately wield these weapons.”
“If it’s a weapon, are you a soldier?”
“I used to be… but not anymore.”
Roh continued to ask the unknown being questions about the world and the force. The Being couldn’t help but take interest in the little girl’s curiosity, as they too were curious of what powers might be hidden within Roh.
