The next day Madam Rae announced that we would work with a Spekk model to style the clothes for an upcoming magazine cover shoot. Fig and Spekk worked together on many occasions and I had to admit I was nervous working with Spekk with the whole Taptiklis situation but I had to calm down. I prepared all the clothes from the other designers and the accessories needed.
It was in the morning and the shoot was scheduled for the afternoon so it was just testing phase. Madam Rae said it would be a good learning experience for us to get into the flow of magazine covers. It was hectic every single time a designer wanted to make changes to the cloth or would send us to get some accessories but at the same time, I had to admit that it was exhilarating.
In between, we had a break before the photographer arrived so I took a cup of coffee and went back to my desk. I opened my tablet and out of nowhere a picture of Taptiklis holding a cup and a lunchbox popped on my screen and I screamed dropping my tablet on my desk.
"I heard screaming what's wrong?"Linda asked frantically.
I gave her the tablet for her to see for herself.
"This is the homepage of your tablet Stella."She said
She then returned it to me and true to her words it was just the homepage. I was freaked out.
"I will tell Madam Rae you just stubbed your toe or something you need to relax."She said walking out.
I placed my head on the desk with pure frustration and I felt terrible. I wanted to hit myself for being so dumb. What was wrong with me? Why did I keep seeing him everywhere I went? And why did my tablet pop out a picture of him or was I just imagining things?
"You looked stressed."A familiar voice said breaking my train of thought behind me.
Panic went through all the veins of my body and I looked behind him and there he was standing staring at me. The same green eyes looking down at me, smiling and I screamed. He held a coffee cup and a lunchbox just as it looked in the picture. How could something so charming look so scary at this point.
"Stay away from me!"I screamed jumping to the other side of the desk
"Why I wanted to bring you coffee."
"No, stay back!Help!"I scream at the top of my lungs
Linda rushed in the office
"Stella what now?!"She asked frantically
"There's the guy, there he is the one!"I said looking at her and pointing
I knew now he could not escape, it was clear to see that he was there and he would be arrested and my life would go back normal, no more Taptiklis no more stalker I could relax get a job everything would be alright.
"Stella there's no one there."She said looking exactly in his direction.
"No we can see him, I see him, He is over there!"I said now desperate
I could not believe what was happening to me. I felt like no one believed him but he was there. He was a real person, he spoke a moment ago.
" Speak, talk, talk to her the way you talk to me."
He never responded and now he stood there looking at me still smiling and I was broken down.No one believed me and yet he was the one giving me nightmares. Linda looked at me as if I was crazy but I knew I was not he was there.
"Stella let me get you to a hospital," Linda said, going to me slowly as if I was the dangerous one.
I was the scared one. This man followed me every single moment I had been there but I was the one who looked crazy, It was not fair. Things were supposed to work in my favor, not his.
"No, I'm not crazy!"I screamed feeling the hot tears flowing down my cheek.
Linda removed her phone and I could tell she contacted someone she thought I was crazy and she thought I was a danger to other people. After a few seconds, a group of people filed into the office and grabbed me. I tried screaming and then I could not see Taptiklis anymore. He was no there. He disappeared once again.
After awhile they restrained me and took me to the hospital. I cried softly every moment and my vision was blurred. I did not even know if I was the crazy one or if they just could not see what was happening. The nurses talked me down and gave me some medication and I looked at them knowing all that was happening was wrong and I just needed someone to believe me.
There were moments I could see him in others and every green eye reminded me of him on how his warm smile now made me feel cold and how the tables had turned for me. The worst part was that I never knew why he was doing all of this to me.
Madam Rae came to visit me and I could see she was shocked and had no words. She sat on the chair next to the bed and sighed.
"Stella maybe you need to go back home, the city might not be for you."
"No, it's just....."
"Stella its great working with you but you are too far away from your family may be Ida city is not the best place to stay."
"But I worked so hard," I said now crying.
"You did and you are brilliant but you should put your health first and stay with people who can help you."
She also thought I was crazy. I worked my ass off to just get into the internship and I could not even make it work for more than a week. All I had down went down the drain. I looked at her and I cried again.
"I'm not crazy."It was all I managed to say.
"I haven't said you were. Your parents are here and we have talked about it you're still young, don't risk your health on a dumb job. It was nice meeting you."She said walking out.
I knew she wanted to avoid being held responsible for any further incident but I knew what I saw and I knew I was not crazy. She walked out and all my dreams were shattered at that very moment.
