Penny soon found me hiding in my locker. She sat on the linoleum next to me, and immediately noticed the blush on my face.
"You okay? You seem flushed," she smiled. I sigh and bury my face in my hands.
"I just made a total fool of myself," I groan. Penny nods.
"Naturally," she says, pulling a bag of chips out of her bag. I roll my eyes.
"I think I like him."
Penny spat out the chip in her mouth. "Wait, what?!"
"He was adorable..." I squeezed Penny's hand. "But I'll probably never see him again. I mean, it's the middle of April and I'm just now seeing him."
Penny sighs. "Look, Meaghan, if you think you like him, you should, you know, try to find him again. That's what my Allen did, he stole my crappin' croutons then found me a week later with a brand new pack."
I considered this. Maybe Pen was right.
