We had been thinking about the escape for months. Before we left, I made something for Jack. A sword like mine, but longer and thinner, almost like a fencing sword. It was made of very durable material, so it wouldn’t snap because of the dinosaurs’ scales.
He was super excited, and he tried to hug me, but I objected, so we shook each other’s hands.
“Thanks!” He was smiling so widely that I couldn’t help but smile too.
“Welcome," I tried to say nonchalantly.
“Should we leave? Now?”
“Yes," Anna, Jack, and Lindsay said simultaneously.
“Ok. We should run over to the airport, and from there we can hijack a helicopter and fly to the mainland," I said.
“Ok!” They all said together.
We were off to the mainland, never to return to this island.
Things… didn’t go so well, though, to say the least.
We made it to the airport without any dinosaur spotting us. We left Jack’s Alanqa in the basement because he was too big for the helicopter. Then we began our journey home.
Jack was able to fly the helicopter, but once we lifted off, Jack lost control and we started plummeting to our doom.
WE ALL DIED!
Just kidding; that was a joke.
He got control again and we flew pretty far and we thought we would make it. We were about two miles east of the Island.
That wouldn’t have been such a big deal, but we had to go west to get to the mainland.
“I knew that I should’ve flown the helicopter," I said as we turned around. We finally made it back to the island when out of nowhere, the idiotic Alanqa rammed into the helicopter.
“You stupid-” Jack was cut off when we hit a tree.
We were stuck.
Hooray.
Alanqa was happy, though.
We stayed up there for about a day, eating the little food I had in my bookbag.
We decided to attempt to climb down the next day. We were not sure whether we’d make it down or fall to our deaths, but with the lack of food and water, it was worth the risk. When we made it down, we walked back to the bunker. There was no way we could make it to the edge of the island on foot with only the supplies we had. Maybe we could find something else to use to escape someday.
