Beatrice looked at the king's cold eyes, trembling with fear as she did this. "Your majesty," she replied, scared but politely. The king looked up at Beatrice and began his speech.
"I've heard a great deal about you, Miss Beatrice," he said, sharply. But as soon as he saw the tears in Beatrice's eyes, his eyes felt like watering up too. He felt bad for Beatrice and regretted his actions. He looked at Beatrice sadly.
"Wait! Isn't he meant to be a king? Why would he suddenly give up? Kings don't do that. Even queens or princes or princesses!" Beatrice thought. "Oh, just fuck up, stupid bitch!" And when she meant "bitch", she realised that she was swearing at her own self. She regretted saying that.
The king looked at Beatrice again. His eyes then started filling up with tears. "Beatrice. I am awfully grateful to you! Do you know why?" he spoke up in a loud, gentle voice.
"Oh, wow! Why though?" Beatrice asked him in a slight tone. She didn't even know the answer to her own fucking self. "Shit," she whispered in agony.
"You have saved our kingdom as an assassin, Beatrice. You have been participating in fifty battles and you have won forty nine out of the fifty! I must promote you! But only for one secret offer," he spoke aloud in a high - pitched voice.
"And what is the offer?" she asked in a much more serious tone like a real king does.
"You will need to bring me back a secret ring that belongs to me," the king told her everything about the quest. It was risky but worth the shot if she was to save herself from immortal danger.
"But how? Where can I find your precious ring?" Beatrice asked, now in a much lighter tone.
"The ring will be in the realm of the Thorn King, which will be the opponent you will have to defeat. You will actually need to defeat a lot of opponents and monsters along the journey. You will also be joining forces with a person I truly know will obey the rules and listen to," the king was now looking at an angel the age of her but way taller.
Beatrice looked at the angel. "Was he the person I will be joining forces with?" she thought while trembling with fear. "He looked serious. I hope he doesn't yell at me like an asshole or something like that."
"Beatrice. My name is Leo. I am the Angel of Lightning," the lightning angel spoke to her in a strict voice.
The king was very fond and proud of Leo. "Beatrice. You will have a two year break. After two years, you will come back to Thorn Arena and present yourself as a true assassin. If you fail or disobey, you will be sentenced to death. Is that clear?" he asked in a more stricter tone than Leo.
"Y - yes," she shivered while replying.
"And Leo, do you understand what you need to do?" he asked Leo as strict as he asked Beatrice.
"Yes. I do understand," Leo replied in a confident and high voice.
"Good. You can now both escape the royal courtroom," the king dismissed both Beatrice and Leo as they walked out of the courtroom. Beatrice shivered with fear. So did the king.
"Dear God, I hope Beatrice makes it. Please give her the most strength she could ever have. Give her a power that would be stronger than everyone else's. Please make her the Angel of Thorns I know and love."
