Lily’s point of view
“I-I can explain this.”
Casey, breast, what? I must be dreaming, yeah, that must be it. I just need to rub my eyes. Nope.
He or she. I didn’t know anymore and tried to come around but I needed to get out of the office. As soon as I turn around I bump into someone coming in through the door.
“D-don’t let her go out.” Looking up I saw that Ryan was the only one standing in front of me with a shock expression for a second before nodding in understanding and pushing me back gently so the door could close again.
I was still shocked, and I was even more shocked when I turned around to see Casey standing a few feet away from me. After looking better at him or her, I could tell that Casey really is a woman, a fit woman but a woman nonetheless.
“Sorry, about this but please take a seat.” Ryan was still holding me by the shoulders.
“N-n-no, th-thank you. I-I will just go.” I tried to turn around but Ryan held me in place.
“Please, just listen to me, I know you must find this weird but please.” Casey’s voice sounded scared and panicked.
I nodded.
“Thank you.” he or she turned to look at Ryan who nodded in understanding and went out the door.
“Hey, don’t let anyone into the room, there is an important meeting, do you understand?” For a minute I was shocked by how serious he sounded since he always looked like the person to play around but that was the last thing I heard Ryan say before the door closed and it was only me and Casey.
For a minute, it was silent while Casey put on the shirt that covered him completely. I was only sitting down on the couch waiting for words to be said.
“S-so, you're a girl, huh.”
Really? Me. As if she didn’t see herself in the mirror
“I know you must be weirded out by what you just saw. I mean, it’s not everyday that you see a woman disguised as a man right?” Casey let out a small awkward laugh and I know we both didn’t know what to say at the moment.
“You do you. I-I mean there are many people that are born one gender but they feel out of place, and they know that they are supposed to be the other gender. You know there are surgeries that can be done now. I mean, if you want to I can…”
I should just stop talking.
For a minute I caught a glance of Casey’s expression and she looked shocked.
“I’m sorry, did I say something wrong? I-I didn’t mean…”
“No, I-I am a woman. I was born a woman and I am completely a woman, and I wish I could do me but...anyway, I stopped you because I really need you to keep this a secret. You can’t tell anyone, please.”
“I-I… why are you hiding yourself?” I was curious but maybe this can be a reason to tell my father why I can’t get married.
“I really need you to please keep this hidden.” I know what I was going to say is wrong but for once I want something of my own.
“I’m sorry but I don’t want to get married to you, and this might be the only reason my dad might accept me not marrying you.” I looked down so I wouldn't have to see her face.
“I-I understand, but please.” I could tell how much effort he was putting into begging me.

“Lily, why do you keep looking at me?” Michelle came up to the counter and my only thought was if she knew. Did her husband and her know the secret of Casey? Or does only her husband know?
“No, nothing. I am just spacing out, I have been thinking too much about tomorrow. We have to announce the marriage and all.” I smile a little bit to show that I was happy but I was more worried about what I was going to do.
This sucks, I only went to tell him I was not going to marry him and to stop the wedding but now what am I going to do? Why couldn’t I just have talked to him during lunch? stupid me.
There is just too much I want to know. Why would she hide herself? Who knows about her? Is her father not mad that she is lying? I want to hear her story.
