Ah, the travel montage. Perfect for when you want to convey time passed and distance traveled without just saying so. You know, "show don't tell". At least, that's what I was going for.
Plus, I think nature scenes are just a lot of fun to draw. A lot more fun than the insides of buildings, in my opinion (as I've mentioned before).
Also, throughout the story, (but especially from this point on,) you may recognize some of the inhabitants and wildlife of this world. I draw a lot of my inspirations from literature, urban legends, and other sources. Some of the references are fairly obvious, while others are a bit more obscure.
I'm actually a bit curious as to how many people other than me are aware of some of these things.

A slightly unorthodox fantasy adventure tale about four heroes in a land inhabited by monsters rather than humans.
But instead of looking to mythology and ancient legends for inspiration, I base Outcast Kingdom mostly on recent fantasy elements, such as classic monster movies, cryptozoology, and literature from within the past couple hundred years.
I try to focus on complex, likable characters; a memorable and imaginative world; and hopefully enough humor to make keep it fun and light hearted.
