Being Transgender is NOT Like Being "Transracial"

In a nonprofit Facebook group for people of color, a question popped up without context and it made me sick to my stomach. It read "Any good resources on why being transgendered [sic] is not like someone claiming to be 'transracial'?" This isn't the first time I've seen this argument used to delegitimize my identity, but it was the first time in a space for people of color for me. I'm going to attempt to illustrate the difference here in the hopes I won't see that question again.

Hi Chris! I would like to know your opinion on Michael Jackson's operations to "become white". Is it wrong of him to do with his body whatever he chose fit? As it's not wrong for some trans*people to keep their v*** and get a metoidioplasty (like phallo but different approach. I'm talking about transmasc ppl)? I would like that kind of geni tal operations, and I also know cis women who want to remove chest, and other cis women, who want to get a phalloplasty. Should they be forced to wrong bodypositivism of just accepting themselves with a gritted teeth? Or shall any human be free to get body changes/ even cyborg like, or is the former a transphobia and the latter - mocking a disabled ppl? I choose freedom and kindness for all, but I also would very much appreciate your answer! Because I find your words very wise.
