I parked the car in front of my apartment, and lugged the guy out of the back seat, carrying him in my arms to the door of my apartment.
Alex was bounding ahead of me of course, already reaching into the flowerpot where I kept my spare key.
“Hey, make sure you put that back!” I called after her as she walked into my home as if she were the one paying the rent.
“Lay him down on the couch! I’ll find some blankets, he must be freezing!”
I rolled my eyes as I gently deposited the body onto my couch. The guy was still completely motionless, and a stab of worry hit me.
What if he is dead?
“Here! Let’s get that gross thing off of him!” Alex dropped some blankets on the ground next to me, and before I could tell her to stop, yanked the cloak off the guy rather roughly.
“Jesus Alex, you should be more care-” I stopped cold. Alex froze too, holding the cloak in one hand stiffly.
“Holy shit, Felix. Look.”
I was silent, taking in the bright blue hair, and the tiny pointed horn on the edge on the guy’s hairline.
“Come on, Alex, this has got to be some god-awful joke someone is playing on us. This-this isn’t real.”
Alex shook her head silently, and I could almost see her brain churning.
I turned back to the guy, taking a good look at his entire body. He was wearing some sort of puffy pants, which were blackened completely, just like the cloak. He wasn’t even wearing a shirt, and there was a tail, a motherfucking tail, curled up on his stomach. The end of it was pointed, and it was a darker blue than the rest of him. The rest of his body resembled a human’s, with the exception of his skin being blue.
“He’s kinda cute.” Alex leaned over the guy’s body, and poked at his stomach. “Look, he’s got abs.”
“ALEX STOP THAT!” I waved her away from the guy, my face vaguely flushed.
This feels like harassment. Is this harassment? Surely this counts as harassment.
Alex batted at my hands, but we were both distracted by a groan. Our heads turned to the guy at the same time.
“Oh shit, he’s waking up!” I stepped away from Alex, twisting my hands nervously.
“Calm down, it’ll be fine.”
I barely heard the reassurances and watched the guy on my couch nervously. He started moving slightly, and me and Alex both watched in silence as the guy brought a hand to his face, still with closed eyes.
Of course, the next thing he did was open his eyes, and he blinked slowly, looking at me and Alex.
“Wリのひ Wん ムᄊ ノ? Wᄊ ノ? Wんムイリのひ ムᄊ ノ? W尺刀ノ刀ム?” The guy started shouting hysterically, immediately jolting up from the couch.
“What the hell is he saying? I can’t understand a thing!” Alex looked on, her eyes panicked.
“I don’t know! But he’s freaking out!” Our attention was drawn back as the guy jumped off my couch, stumbling slightly.
“Ҝフ卄卂ᗪҜフ千卄丨卂卄丂ᗪ爪爪爪丨ㄖㄩ尺乇 ? ㄖ卂丨丨フ!” He was waving his arms around frantically, and I put my hands up in a surrender gesture.
“Calm down pal, we’re not here to hurt you,” I spoke slowly, trying to get across the point that we weren’t hostile.
He walked up to me in a few steps, and I started taking steps back.
“Hey, woah, slow down, what’re you doing?” I looked at Alex, my eyes wide.
“Alex, help me out!”
Two hands grabbed each side of my face, and I was jerked to face the guy. I grabbed his arm in alarm, trying to push him off.
“What the hell are you doing?!” My struggles did nothing, the guy’s grip was steel.
“Hey! Let go of him!” Alex grabbed the guy’s shoulder and tried pulling him away from me, but the dude didn’t budge.
The guy lowered my face so that I was right across from his, and I was staring into his three eyes in panic. I was full-out panicking at this point, and both me and Alex were fighting against this guy. Alex had started pounding his back with her fists in hopes it would make him let go of me.
The guy closed his eyes and leaned his… (forehead? Third eye?) against my forehead, and I froze.
What is he doing?
Oh god, jesus, what the hell.
The guy released me all of a sudden, and I fell back in panic. I hit the ground hard, my hand against my forehead.
“What did you do to him?!” Alex jumped in front of the guy, out of breath but still holding her fists up for a fight.
I scrambled up from the floor, watching the guy’s every move.
“My… apologies? I needed to learn your. Language.”
