It was early in the morning, so early that the fog had not cleared. People of Royseros were still deep in their slumber when children, elder, and drunkards alike woke up to the sound of metal hitting mingled with rough exhale on the stony street paving the way to the King’s palace. Overgrown with vibrant fresh wines and lights at every 10-foot distance on both sides of the street, with colorful medieval houses around leading to a bridge spanning across the stream. There was one voice that echoed. It was a laugh, a young lad grinning at that two knights, out of their breath. He regarded them as miserable men rushing after him in such heavy armor, for a minute he halted by the bridge but could not contain his grin.
“My lord, where are you rushing off too this early?” added one of the two escorts who could hardly stand while the other was already on his knees.
“Rushing off? I was just enjoying a casual stroll around this grand city. Oh Sebastian, watching the capital covered with smog from the walls of city-watch is something. The high tip of city hall piercing out from mist to stand right below the palace on the hilltop is a view I have become addicted to, I suppose. Hahaha”
The second escort then stoop up “You are very careless, prince Allen. You might get in trouble for this by His Majesty!”
Prince Allen never had many friends because of his noble status. Even though the kingdom was insignificant compared to the land of Tauron but in the ridges of Kar-ul Far, it was still a kingdom. He was a tall handsome young man with beautiful blue eyes and golden hair. As always he would wear the red coat over his white shinning shirt and pant as they were the symbol of royalty.
“Your Majesty told you not to leave the castle, didn’t he?” continued the first escort.
“Start acting like a prince, My Prince!” added Sebastian.
“How are we going to deal with it, if someone attacked you?! Your life is of unquestionable importance to the kingdom, right Sebastian!” said the other guard interrupting Sebastian.
“See! Even Matthew could figure that out, Why can’t you?!”
“Haaaahh” shrieked the prince while jumping. For a second the two escorts thought he had realized his mistake. The prince who had his back turned towards them and was jumping with excitement.
“Look! The Great Mount Mor-Un is still visible from the sides of the cliff. Isn’t that just magnificent! haha”
“You were not listening, were you?” answered Matthew.
Allen turned around and smiled.
“Let’s go you two, We are going to be late for brunch.”
“Eh, please, My prince, we cannot run anymore!” responded the two companions together but even so the prince did not pause, passing over the bridge and began moving up the cliff to his palace at the top which stood high and mighty.
"Allen! Where the hell were you? Your mother, Her Majesty has been worried sick about you!" said Master Grev, The Captain of Castle Guards and also Allen's teacher for sword arts. He was a tall man with short black hair, Brown eyes, a masculine body. He took pride in wearing the silver armor and lifted the shield with the symbol of rosania, the great red sparrow on it.
"Haha, Calm down Grev. It was just a small stroll. Besides, I took Sebastian and Matthew with me."
Grev looked at the two out of breath guards standing behind.
"Go, Her Majesty is waiting in the dining hall. And please do not run off to like this again."
"Got it!" said Allen while laughing and went towards a door leading into the palace leaving Grev and the guards behind.
"Bad times are upon us. Please be careful of what you do, Allen." Grev mumbled to himself.
Suddenly all were silent as if they knew something terrible was going on but tried to hide it away from their young prince.
"I know. I know it all too well, Grev." said Allen with a voice that did not resemble that of a young child and passed through the door into a shiny white palace leaving the trio stunned from what he just said.
