Once we had gotten home, I went straight to my room, checking it. I sighed with relief at everything being the way I had left it. I dropped my backpack and sketchbook onto the small bed and sat down on the carpet. A furry little creature hesitantly walked out from under my bed. My eyes widened as I held out my hand slowly. I could’ve sworn I’ve seen this little creature before. I grabbed one of my older sketchbooks slowly, trying not to frighten the little thing. The little creature raised with wings slowly and sniffed at my hand, watching me grab the sketchbook. It was about the same size as a young cat, with fluffy brown, black, and white patched fur. As I flipped through my old sketchbook, I came across a little sketch of this little creature with the name Lily above it.
“I remember you, now,” I said happily.
The little creature jumped happily and nuzzled my hand. I laughed and scooped up Lily. being careful of her wings, I cradled her while scratching her chin. The animal seemed to be purring loudly and jumped out of my arms as a person in at black came through my window. I slid back along my floor in fear. I started flipping through my sketchbook frantically, trying to see if this person was someone I had imagined.
“Calm down, miss,” the person said softly and gently pet Lily’s head.
I shook my head, “You're… real?”
“Indeed I am. And you, my dear, are very special.”
