The two inevitably end up becoming friends for no apparent reason. The girl hoisted the boar up her palm, lifting it with ease. The robot could only observe in her power, questioning the limit of her strength. They followed the river flow down to an open lake, accompanied by a beautiful scenery of a flower garden the opposite of the lake.
“We’ll base up from here, it’s a clearing and we have clean water access here.” The girl stated.
“This is quite the view, never thought I’ll ever see something so pretty from a big place like this…” the robot complimented as he takes in the view.
“Ah, I haven’t introduced myself. I’m Ley, a wandering adventurer. I travel around places a lot so sustaining myself with bounties is what I do. Also, since you’re here, why don’t you help me guard this boar while I go find some berries?”
“I suppose… guess there’s no way out of this after all”
“Anyway, how about your name?”
“My name… name…” the robot paused for a second.
“What is my name… I don’t recall anything, and I certainly can’t remember who I was… wait, there’s that weird computer sound, if I remember…” the robot thought to himself as Ley blankly stares at him.
“My name is Libritor.” Libritor confidently replied.
“Heh… Libritor is it? It’s so long, I can’t remember something like that. Hmm… I’ll just call you, Libri!”
“Well, that’s kind of short, but I guess it’s fine too, nice to meet you Ley” Libri bowed his head.
“What are you doing lowering your head?” Ley got confused.
“I’m giving a gesture of salute?” Libri questioned.
“That’s so weird. Well it’s nice to be friends with you too Libri.” Ley giggled.
Ley went around the parameter to make sure of the surrounding, Libritor was left behind defending the dead boar laid beside the lake. Libritor took this time to access some important points to himself.
“Okay, so I’ve gotten use to this body as if I’m once human. How I know I’m human is vague, but I have common sense and natural language skills. I know I came from somewhere that isn’t as bizarre as this and certainly the culture is different from where I know I came from, that boar itself is proof too…” Libri thought to himself.
As Libri continues to dwell in thought, he uncovers some unlikely truth but plausible.
“As I continue to think, I do know this robotic body is impossible still at that somewhere I came from. And with that, I know I came here from outside this world, maybe reincarnation? Revived or brought to another world? Sounds dumb, but I can only put this to thought.” Libri continues to think thoroughly.
“Hey, you’re not going to eat that boar, now are you?” a small voice hinted beside Libri.
“I don’t think I can just eat it like that… How do I even eat anyway…” Libri answered without knowing who was it.
“Then I’ll be taking that now thank you very much~” the voice pulls out and dashes towards the boar.
“Wait a minute… that’s not Ley!” Libri finally noticed and quickly glance towards the boar.
It was a cat-eared girl in very light armor, having short bobbed dark-red hair. She tried to yank the boar away from where it was rested, but she couldn’t even move an inch of it. Libri watched as she helplessly tries to pull it away.
“Umm... you’re not going to move it anytime soon like that. Here, I’ll stop you for a bit.” Libri went and pull her back from the boar.
“Ah, my food, don’t leave me please!” she continues to rush toward the boar.
“Hey, what’s the ruckus about?” Ley came back from the river with a handful of fruits.
“Oh, it’s Ley! Help me, this golem was harassing me!” she squirms for help.
“What!? I haven’t even done anything yet. You two met?” Libri trying to defend himself.
“Well, if it isn’t Himi the cat thief assassin.” Ley smirked.
“Even Ley is being mean, you’re all meanies.” As she cries.
“Even if I’m a meanie, you’re still trying to steal my bounty. Thanks, Libri.” Ley continues to put down the fruits.
“Share a little bit won’t you, it’s pretty big anyway.” Himi pleaded.
“For a thief, you sure are convincingly annoying. But my answer is still no, it’s for money later” Ley replied in honesty
“Aww… Oh well, I guess it can’t be helped.”
Libri, stuck in between the event could only wonder to himself why he was referred to as a golem. “If being a robot isn’t a thing here and golem is an entity, would I have been in a fantasy world? How do I even know what is a fantasy world anyway? Ugh, too many question”.
“Anyway, I’ll do my own introduction now. I’m Himi, a cat thief assassin of my proud family. I majorly do request on guilds, but I’m wandering about most of the time. Please to be acquainted.” Himi presents herself.
“You say that, but you mostly offer your cuteness to steal other’s benefits.” Ley cuts in.
“Hey, it’s called getting the best out of something, not stealing.” As Himi smiles it off like she’s innocent.
